Amen Large print bulletins are available, and children s bulletins are available on the table in the Narthex. A nursery is available for infants up to 5 years-of-age.

Those who are able are invited to stand. PRELUDE Great is the Lord Michael W. Smith LIFE OF THE CONGREGATION Moment of silence to prepare your hearts for worship SONG OF DEVOTION (hymnal & screen) (please remain seated) #633 Open Our Eyes, Lord LET US WORSHIP GOD TOGETHER CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 132:7-9) Leader: Let us go to His dwelling place, People: let us worship at His footstool, Leader: Arise, Lord, and come to Your resting place People: may Your faithful people sing for joy. INVOCATION Leader: God of Glory, come to Your people and bless them with Your presence. Drive the evil one away from our lives and our community. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit so we might offer acceptable worship to You this day. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. SONGS OF PRAISE (screen) Nothin Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) CALL TO CONFESSION: (Isaiah 30:15, 18) Leader: This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore, He will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him! Let us seek God s compassion by confessing our sin to God. Please join me in silent prayer. SILENT PRAYER PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: Holy God, we confess that we are sinners who have fallen from Your righteous path. Our hands are dirty, and our hearts have been stained. We need You to cleanse us with

Your grace and clear out all the obstacles that lie between us. You must save us! Only You have the power to set us free. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON (I John 1:5-9) Leader: This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Sisters and brothers in Christ, believe the good news: through faith in Christ we are forgiven. AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed Unison: I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. GLORIA PATRI MORNING PRAYERS Pastoral Prayer Prayers for the People The Lord's Prayer HYMN OF REFLECTION (hymnal & screen) #479 Softly and Tenderly SERVICE OF DEDICATION Dedication of the New Brass Cross and Candlesticks Leader: Almighty God, You are the giver of all good things, we thank You for Your generous bounty towards us, shown in the

generosity of those who have remembered with great thankfulness their loved ones who now dwell with You. May these Brass Candlesticks and Cross draw our attention and focus our worship upon You. Let the light of these candles symbolize the presence of Your Holy Spirit which danced like fire upon the heads of the disciples at Pentecost and calls us to be a light to the nations. May this cross mark our journey as we follow Jesus. Let it draw us to His cross and bring to mind the cost of His extravagant love for us. Lord may these articles be dedicated to Your use and worship. In Jesus name. Amen. Children may come down for the children s sermon following the Service of Dedication.
