Page : 2 Celebrations JANAMASHTMI Happy Birthday to you... Happy Birthday to Shri Krishnaji... Yes... Janamashtmi, one of the most popular festivals, celebrates the birth of God, Shri Krishna. Wednesday, September 1st was the day where each and every member of the school was busy since early morning for the preparation of Janamashtmi, also known as Krishanashtmi. We depicted Krishna Jhankis, Jhula and Dahi Handi in our school in a beautiful way to justify the significance of Janamashtmi. The school was decorated with flowers and matkis as well.
Page : 23 Celebrations Shri Hari Shanker Gupta, MLA, Chief Guest of the day did the ceremonies of Krishna Aarti, Jhula and Dahi Handi. Shri H.R Gupta, Chairperson and Shri Rajeev Gupta, Vice Chairperson of Golden Bells and De Indian Public School honoured our Chief Guest by presenting him a decorated matki with a flute, peacock feather and a pack of mishri on it. Now, coming to our children... I was thrilled to have lot many Krishnas and Radhas in my school. Kids were dressed up according to the occassion and had a mythological feel when they started tapping and dancing on bhajans. We also had a cultural programme where DIPS children participated enthusiastically. They chanted shlokas and sang bhajans like Payo ji maine Ram Ratan Dhan Payo... and Bake Bihari ki dekh jhata.... Children were really looking cute in their colourful costumes. They did quite well in their matki decoration activity also. Teachers participated well by giving their performance on Krishna Lila. Well done my kids and teachers! The celebration was ended by distributing packs of mishri as prashad and peacock feathers among children. Thanks to our guest for the encouragement; our parents for the contribution in the decoration of the school by sending matkis and above Krishnaji for his blessings on us and our school. Page : 24 Celebrations TEACHER S DAY Teaching is the profession that teaches all other preofession The day commemorates the birthday of Dr. Radhakrishnan,a philosopher and a teacher and his contribution towards Indian Education System. We celebrated Teacher s Day in the memory of Dr. Radhakrishnan and honoring all the teachers on Friday, September 3rd in our school. We welcomed all our new teachers...yes, I m talking about our kids who came dressed up as teachers on Teacher s Day. Acting as teachers, children got to know about their responsibilities well as we assigned couple of duties to them. Quite a relaxing day for teachers as they enjoyed the day thoroughly with children in a different way. The school arranged a lavish lunch for all the staff members to make them feel very special about this day.
Page : 25 Celebrations GRAND PARENT S DAY Oh Grandma, Grandpa, you know that I love you I love all those little things that you say and do The stories you tell, things I never know Oh Granma, Grandpa I love you It s time to honour all our grand parents as we celebrated Grand Parent s Day on Saturday, September 11th in quite a unique way by organising a day tour to Swami Narayan Akshardham Temple. All Grand Parents gathered at around 9:00 in the morning and we welcomed them in a traditional way by applying tikka. They all really looked excited to be a part of the celebration and so were we. We started from school at 9:30 am for the temple in buses and I cannot believe we sang bhajans and enjoyed thoroughly. Finally we reached at 10:30 am and were quite curious to look forward. Everyone enjoyed all three exhibitions:sahajanand Darshan, Neelkanth Darshan and Sanskruti Vihar. Later we relished food in Premvati Food Court and tried our level best to take care of all Grand Parents and make them feel comfortable. All in all that was an enjoyable journey! I would like to convey my sincere thanks to all Grand Parents for their participation and co-operation. At school, we organised an Elocution Contest on My Grand Parents in which class Pre- Primary of DIPS participated and expressed their love and affection for their Grand Parents in a very confident manner. Keep up the good work, kids!

Set a timer to tell your child when it s fine for him to leave the table. Limit eating in the car and elsewhere.
