For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:11-12 WELCOME: God, in His love, is blessing us with time for rest and worship. Let us commit to Him our worship, our hearts, our ways, and our plans. We welcome everyone to our fellowship with the Lord today. Please join us after this morning s service for a time of refreshment in the Fellowship Hall. Children aged 3-5 meet your teacher in the foyer during the offering this morning for Children s Church. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES Our next message in our morning series through Acts, "King on a Mission," focuses on the completion of the group that will be foundation of God's Kingdom, the Apostles. Judas Iscariot tried to buy his own kingdom; however God's kingdom marches on even through all who oppose him. This evening: it can be a cool feeling to get a passport for a first time. When traveling, the reality of your passport leads you to act a little differently from the locals. 1 Peter 2:11-12 outline one aspect for why Christians still do good works: its part of acting like our home and inviting others to become citizens as well. PRAYERS AND PRAISES Continue to pray for Lloyd Kuipers, who was hospitalized with an ongoing infection in his knee. He hopes to be in swing bed in Platte by this weekend. Please pray for a continued effective course of treatment, and for trust in God's caring provision.

In the next weeks, school will be beginning for many in our church family, including DCS this Thursday and Platte- Geddes next Thursday. (from dchs.net) Next week, our offerings are for Victor & Lori Selemani with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Mozambique, Africa where Victor & Lori run a Discipleship Training School (DTS) Program. This DTS is a full-time program to interested students all over the region which lasts five or six months. It consists of two parts: lecture phase and outreach phase. In the lecture phase, students learn more about God and His world not only through lectures but also from community living and practical training. The outreach phase focuses on applying what students learned in the classroom through an intense, cross-cultural experience.
