JANUARY 2017
Nonprofit Organization U.S. Postage PAID Williamsburg, VA Permit Number 8 Volunteers to Needed Work with Our Youth We have entered 2017 and it s an exciting year for WPC Youth ministries! We have 11 of our youth heading to Guatemala in June, and more than a dozen others involved in mission and formation trips throughout the year! Not only that but we continue to look to love, serve, learn, and grow together and with our congregation and community here in Williamsburg. With that in mind we want you... YES, YOU to join us in this work. We are in need of help, be it from time to time on Sunday nights, or by joining us for a retreat, trip, or other special event. I ask each of you reading this to consider how you could help be part of the life of our teens and tweens (aka Youth). Be it by sharing a single event or a more regular time with the youth, you make a huge difference in how they understand the world and their role in it, and I guarantee that they will make a huge difference in your world as well. Also, keep an eye out for info about an upcoming meal with our youth where you ll be able to swap stories with them about the things that all youth face regardless of when we were/are that age, as well as some of the things that change over time. There really is so much going on, and we really want you to be a part of it with us! A Winter Fundraiser for the Community of Faith Mission Join us for a special soup tasting event at WARM UP WILLIAMSBURG. 19 local chefs are donating their tastiest soups for this event, which will be held Friday, January 27, 5:15 8:00pm at Williamsburg Community Chapel. As well as soups, there will be bread, dessert and live music provided by Elderberry Jam. We will also have a Bake Shop selling delicious home made treats and a Gift Item Sale. For reservations go to COFM.info or call 757-220-0484. Help support the Community of Faith Mission Winter Shelter! Call 757-200-0484 if you have any questions or wish to volunteer at the event.
