PAGE 2 From The East I would also like to remind all of the brothers of Englewood that we have gentlemen putting in extra hours for upkeep in the lodge and preparing our great meals we eat when we get together. So when you see a brother who has given extra time so we can enjoy our lodge experience tell them thank you. Fraternally James M. Burris W.M. James Burris, WM 2010 Greetings from the East Brethren, We have had a great first month here t Englewood and we are looking forward to many more. I want to thank everyone for their hard work and the time that they have put in. I really want to stress to brethren that we need to be inviting brothers out to every Tuesday night. Our goal is to get as many of our brethren back into Lodge to celebrate 90 years of Englewood history. You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do. - Eleanor Roosevelt- Always a Brother, Never a Stranger
PAGE 3 From the West Upcoming Senior Warden 2010 Greetings from the West Brethren, As the years have passed, we have lost contact with some of our brothers. It therefore falls upon all of our shoulders to the best we can to contact and invite those brothers back to lodge. This year we have created a phone committee so that we can do just that, it is however a serious undertaking and any help would be appreciated. Masters and Wardens Meetings Feb. 13th 2010 Southport Lodge #270 Dinner @ 6:30 March 13th 2010 Beech Grove Lodge Dinner @ 6:30 If you have just one afternoon to give or even a few hours to make phone calls it could truly make the difference in brothers day by letting them know we care. Fraternally, Tim Baugh, S.W. tdbaugh1@juno.com Remember that 2010 dues are $90 for the year if you need assistance please let us know.
PAGE 4 From The South We have had a great year in the kitchen so far. I would like to thank Brother Tim Barnett, Brandon Mobley, Matt Cox, Matt Weddle, and anyone that I left out for their continued assistance in preparing meals and cleaning up. I am always looking for new meal ideas, so feel free to suggest a meal. Junior Warden 2010 Greetings from the South! It has been a great year so far, we conferred our first degree of the year on Brothers Brandon Mobley and Matt Hadley! We look forward to their participation in the coming years. I would like to remind you that the Bob Lemon food pantry is available to you and anyone you know that needs help during this time of year. I would greatly appreciate if you could donate what you can to keep it stocked. Fraternally, Bob Borden rmb7884@yahoo.com Quotes What we do for ourselves dies with us. In Memoriam PAGE 7 A Masonic Memorial Service is available, by request, to every Mason in good standing at the time of his death. The request may be made by the brother prior to death or by a family member after death. Call 317.356.0591 Some men see things as they are and ask why, I dream of things that never were and ask why not. - Ted Kennedy- Please notify the Lodge of the death of any Brother by calling 317.356.0591 To be called for Masonic Services contact our funeral committee chairman Please keep the families of those who have answered the Master s call In your prayers. A Mason's Wife From active Masons, resolute, Our wives and families we salute; We surely know the price you pay, Who sit alone while we're away; No high degrees on you conferred, In Lodge, your name is seldom heard; You serve our cause though out of sight, While sitting home alone tonight; Masonic papers list our names, Awards are given, fit to frame; But yours is absent...you who strive, To keep our fortitude alive; You're part of every helpful deed, On your encouragement we feed; Without your blessings, how could we, Continue acts of charity? And so, this poem, we dedicate, To every Master Mason's mate; And offer our undying love, Rewards await in Heaven above.
