The Knowledge of Life Week 1/ Day 1: Ch.1 What Is Life? I. Only the Life of God is Life 1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. John 3:36 He who believes into the Son has eternal life; but he who disobeys the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides upon him. II. Life is the Flowing Out of God Rev. 22:1-2 And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its street. And on this side and on that side of the river was the tree of life, producing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. John 4:14 But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall by no means thirst forever; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water gushing up into eternal life. who was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory. V. Life is Christ John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. Col. 3:4 When Christ our life is manifested, then you also will be manifested with Him in glory. VI. Life is the Holy Spirit Rom. 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life has freed me in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death. III. Life is the Content of God Col. 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, IV. Life is God Himself John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way and the reality and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. 1 Tim. 3:16 And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: He

The Knowledge of Life Week 1/ Day 2: Ch.2 What Is the Experience of Life? I. Experiencing God Phil. 2:13-16 For it is God who operates in you both the willing and the working for His good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and reasonings that you may be blameless and guileless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine as luminaries in the world, holding forth the word of life, so that I may have a boast in the day of Christ that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain. II. Experiencing Christ A. Christ Revealed in Us Gal. 1:16 To reveal His Son in me that I might announce Him as the gospel among the Gentiles, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood, B. Christ Living in Us Gal. 2:20 I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. C. Christ Being Formed in Us Gal. 4:19 My children, with whom I travail again in birth until Christ is formed in you, D. Christ Being Magnified in Our Body Phil. 1:20-21 According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death. E. Full of Measure of the Stature of the Fullness of Christ Eph. 4:13 Until we all arrive at the oneness of the faith and of the full knowledge of the Son of God, at a full-grown man, at the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, F. Transformed into the Image of Christ 2 Cor. 3:18 But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit. III. Experiencing the Holy Spirit Rom. 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life has freed me in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death. 8:9-11 But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Yet if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him. But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. 8:13, 26 For if you live according to the flesh, you must die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live. Moreover, in like manner the Spirit also joins in to help us in our weakness, for we do not know for what we should pray as is fitting, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

The Knowledge of Life Week 1/ Day 3: Ch.3 The First Experience of Life Regeneration I. Why Regeneration Is Necessary? Jer. 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, And it is incurable; Who can know it? Rom. 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but to work out the good is not. Jer. 13:23 Can the Cushite change his skin, Or the leopard his spots? Then you also may be able to do good, Who are accustomed to do evil. II. What Is Regeneration? John 3:3-6 Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born, can he? Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. IV. The Results of Regeneration 1) Regeneration causes men to become the children of God. John 1:12, 13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name, Who were begotten not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 2) Regeneration causes men to become a new creation. 2 Cor. 5:17 So then if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. 3) Regeneration causes men to be united with God as one. 1 Cor. 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. III. How can We Be Regenerated? John 16:8 And when He comes, He will convict the world concerning sin and concerning righteousness and concerning judgment:

Week 1/ Day 4: The Knowledge of Life Ch.4 That Which Is Gained through Regeneration I. The Life of God Col. 2:9-10 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you have been made full in Him, who is the Head of all rule and authority. 2 Pet. 1:3-4 Seeing that His divine power has granted to us all things Rom. 4:17 which relate to life and godliness, through the full knowledge of Him who has called us by His own glory and virtue, through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust. (As it is written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations'') in the sight of God whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls the things not being as being. II. The Law of Life Heb. 8:10 For this is the covenant which I will covenant with the III. A New Heart IV. A New Spirit house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will impart My laws into their mind, and on their hearts I will inscribe them; and I will be God to them, and they will be a people to Me. V. The Holy Spirit Ezek. 36:26-27 I will also give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take away the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and My ordinances you shall keep and do. A. As the Indwelling Spirit B. As the Comforter C. As the Spirit of Truth John 14:16-17 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever, even the Spirit of reality, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him; but you know Him, because He abides with you and shall be in you. D. As the Spirit of Life E. As the Seal Eph. 1:13 In whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, in Him also believing, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of the promise, 4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed unto the day of redemption. F. As the Earnest (Pledge) Eph. 1:14 Who is the pledge of our inheritance unto the redemption of the acquired possession, to the praise of His glory. 2 Cor. 1:22 He who has also sealed us and given the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge. G. As the Anointing 1 John 2:27 And as for you, the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you; but as His anointing teaches you concerning all things and is true and is not a lie, and even as it has taught you, abide in Him.

Week 1/ Day 5: VI. Christ Gal. 1:16 The Knowledge of Life Ch.4 That Which Is Gained through Regeneration To reveal His Son in me that I might announce Him as the gospel among the Gentiles, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood, 2 Cor. 13:5 Test yourselves whether you are in the faith; prove yourselves. Or do you not realize about yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are disapproved? 1 John 5:11-12 And this is the testimony, that God gave to us eternal life John 14:6 Col. 3:4 Gal. 2.20 and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. Jesus said to him, I am the way and the reality and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. When Christ our life is manifested, then you also will be manifested with Him in glory. I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. 2 Cor. 4:10-11 Always bearing about in the body the putting to death of Jesus that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who are alive are always being delivered unto death for Jesus' sake that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. Eph. 3:17-19 That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be full of strength to apprehend with all the saints what Rom. 8:17 Heb. 2:10 Col. 1:27 the breadth and length and height and depth are, and to know the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ, that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God. And if children, heirs also; on the one hand, heirs of God; on the other, joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him that we may also be glorified with Him. For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and through whom are all things, in leading many sons into glory, to make the Author of their salvation perfect through sufferings. To whom God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory, VII. God 1 John 3:24 And he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, John 14:23 Phil. 2:13 Heb. 13:21 and He in him. And in this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He gave to us. 4:13 In this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, that He has given to us of His Spirit. Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make an abode with him. For it is God who operates in you both the willing and the working for His good pleasure. Perfect you in every good work for the doing of His will, doing in us that which is well pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ; to Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. 1 Cor. 12:6 And there are distinctions of operations, but the same God, who operates all things in all.

Week 1/ Day 6: I. The Scriptural Basis Rom. 8:6 Eph. 4:19 The Knowledge of Life Ch.5 The Sense of Life For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. Who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lasciviousness to work all uncleanness in greediness. II. The Source of the Sense of Life III. The Function of the Sense of Life 2 Cor. 12:10 Therefore I am well pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in John 16:33 necessities, in persecutions and distresses, on behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am powerful. These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have affliction, but take courage; I have overcome the world. II. The Medium of the Fellowship of Life III. The Source of the Fellowship of Life 1 John 1:2-3 (And the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and report to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us); That which we have seen and heard we report also to you that you also may have fellowship with us, and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
