February 16-27, 2019 ISRAEL MINISTRY TRIP Please join us for a special time of intercession, hands-on ministry and connecting with our Biblical roots. ITINERARY DAY DATE PROGRAM OVERNIGHT Feb. 16 (Saturday) 1 Feb. 17 (Sunday) 2 Feb. 18 (Monday) Travel day (for those traveling from North/South America and the Far East/Oceanasia) Arrival at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv (before 4pm) Upon arrival in Israel, each participant will go through customs and pick up luggage. The tour guide will greet the group outside the baggage claim area to travel to the hotel in Netanya. In the evening the team will meet for orientation. Community Project. Serve at a club for Holocaust survivors and the elderly in a nearby neighborhood or help with projects at the ONE FOR ISRAEL headquarters in Netanya. Enjoy a lunch (included) with ONE FOR ISRAEL staff at the Israel College of the Bible. Learn about Messianic Jewish believers in history and in Israel today and become familiar with the vision and programs. 3 Feb. 19 (Tuesday) 4 Feb. 20 (Wednesday) Visit Caesarea where Peter preached to Cornelius (Acts 10) and Paul gave his defense before Roman governors (Acts 24-26). Community Project: Travel to Haifa to learn about the ministry of the Ebenezer retirement home which serves the Messianic community. Meet some of the residents. Ascend to Mt. Carmel to visualize the story of Elijah and the Prophets of Baal. Tour Megiddo (New Testament Armageddon). Community Project: Assist in visitation at a local hospital (children s wing and/or geriatrics wing). Tour Nazareth Village, a reenactment of village life in Nazareth at the time of Yeshua. Community Project. Participate in a ministry project in the Nazareth area: volunteer to be part of the reenactment at Nazareth Village or connect with a local Arab Christian pastor to learn about his work and help with hands on projects. 5 Feb. 21 (Thursday) 6 Feb. 22 (Friday) 7 Feb. 23 (Saturday) 8 Feb. 24 (Sunday) Touring. Visit the synagogue at the town of Magdala (probable home of Mary Magdalene) and the traditional locations for the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7). Tour Capernaum, Yeshua s ministry base. Enjoy a fish lunch together (included). Rejoice together while sailing on the lake. There will also be an opportunity to view the remains of a fishing boat from the time of Yeshua. Travel up to the northern borders to pray over Lebanon and Syria. Visit Tel Dan (I Kings 12/Judges 18) and Caesarea Philippi (Matthew 16). Continue to the Golan Heights for a view into Syria. Travel down the Jordan Valley to Qaser el-yahud, the traditional baptismal site of Yeshua in the Jordan River. There will be an opportunity for baptisms for those interested. The rest of the day will be spent in the region of the Dead Sea. Hike Ein Gedi where David hid from Saul (1 Samuel 24). Visit Masada, the palacefortress of Herod the Great, used by the Zealots in the Great Jewish Revolt against Rome. End the day with an opportunity to float in the Dead Sea. Then UP TO JERUSALEM! Touring: Visit Temple Mount, the site of the two temples. Visit the Pools of Bethesda and worship at St. Anne s Church. Visit the Mount of Olives, the location of Yeshua s ascent and return, and Dominus Flevit where He wept over the city of Jerusalem (Luke 19:41-44). Spend time at the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed His last prayer with His disciples. Travel to Bethlehem to meet with a Palestinian pastor and learn about his ministry and pray for his congregation. cave and perhaps a visit to a local olive wood shop owned by local Palestinian Christians. There will be an opportunity to attend the English service at King of Kings fellowship in the late afternoon. 9 Feb. 25 (Monday) 10 Feb. 26 (Tuesday) Community Projects. This morning the team will do a prayer walk in the area of the Israeli Knesset (Parliament) and Supreme Court. At the Jerusalem Prayer Tower there will be a time of intercession over the city. Touring: After lunch, visit the Davidson Center to learn about pilgrimages to Jerusalem at the time of Yeshua. View the streets and steps of the Southwall Excavations. Pray at the Western Wall before touring the Western Wall Tunnels, walking along the length of the wall of the Temple wall from the time of Jesus. Then walk down the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and stop for a time of prayer over the Old City. Continue to the Garden Tomb for a tour and group communion. There will be free time to browse the Old City markets or shop in the Jewish Quarter. Evening: Final Team Meeting Tour the Israel Museum, to view the 50:1 scale model of Jerusalem from Yeshua s time and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Spend time at Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial Museum. The rest of the day can be spent doing a community project helping pack food parcels for the needy at the Joshua Fund warehouse or touring the Shephela (lowlands) of Judah to visit the Valley of Elah, where David fought Goliath, Tel Beth Shemesh (where the ark was returned from the Land of the Philistines (I Sam. 6) and Beit Guvrin. PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION PENALTIES: o Registration closes November 30, 2018 (or before, if the trip is full). o Final Payment is due by December 29, 2018. o The deposit of $100 is non-refundable. If the trip is cancelled due to lack of the minimum number of participants, there is the option to put the deposit toward participation in a future OFI Ministry Trip or to receive a full refund of the deposit. o If you must cancel your trip registration and the cancellation request is submitted BEFORE the trip registration deadline, then the following options are available to you: o Your trip payments can be saved & accrued to stay available to you for another upcoming ONE FOR ISRAEL Ministry Trip that has availability. 6
Payments can be saved as usable payments for up to 2 additional calendar years after the year the payment was made. If the payment is not used by the end of that last calendar year, then it will be converted to a donation on your behalf. o Or, your trip payments can be converted to donation effective the day the cancellation request is made. The gift date then becomes the date that we receive the email, phone call or letter submitting the request. o Or, your trip payments can be refunded when the cancellation request is made, minus the non-refundable $100 deposit to cover the cost of transaction related fees. We will however convert your deposit into a donation to ONE FOR ISRAEL on your behalf. o If you must cancel your trip registration and the cancellation request is submitted AFTER the trip registration deadline, then the payments (other than the deposit) will be refunded as follows: o 75 % of total trip cost will be refunded if cancellation occurs 31-45 days prior to departure o 50 % of total trip cost will be charged if cancellation occurs 16-30 days prior to departure o 0 % of total trip cost will be charged if cancellation occurs 0-15 days prior to departure o The portion not refunded will be converted into a donation to ONE FOR ISRAEL on your behalf. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover cancellation due to unforeseen medical emergencies that might prevent you from traveling. DOCUMENTS: o A valid passport for at least six months after returning home is required. It is the passenger s responsibility to obtain, at their own expense, the documents required to enter Israel according to citizenship. 7
INSURANCE: o It is mandatory to purchase medical insurance that will cover in case medical treatment is necessary while in Israel. Travel insurance is recommended. Travel insurance covers expenses in case of cancellation due to health and other issues. After trip is confirmed, please email ONE FOR ISRAEL a copy or photo of your insurance card(s) to: o ONE FOR ISRAEL shall not be liable or responsible for any injury, sickness, loss or damage to any person or property as a consequence of natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest or other factors over which the ministry has no control and cannot influence to change them. ONE FOR ISRAEL offers no coverage compensation of any kind in cases stated above, nor for cancellations or inability to travel. PARTICIPANT MOBILITY: o This itinerary requires each participant to be in good health and able to walk. Many sites are not accessible to people in wheelchairs or those who have limited mobility. If there are any issues pertaining to health or physical fitness, please consult with us prior to registration.
