So in conclusion I would like to Wish all a very Merry Christmas and a Safe New Year Faithful Captain Kevin Klinck, PGK, DD Faithful Captains Report: Faithful Comptrollers Report: Sir Knights and Ladies, I hope everyone has a nice Christmas. Our membership has gone up due to our new members. I hope they enjoy their membership with the 4th degree. If any new members have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in contact with someone from our assembly. We would like all our members to be happy and proud to be a member of the Fr. Louis Boue Assembly. The dues notices are going out now so if you receive one, please pay promptly. Please remember as always, the dues go to keeping our assembly functioning properly and not extra expenses like tickets etc. If there are any concerns, please just give me a call and I should have an answer for you. Our fish fry is scheduled for April 12 of next year. It is vitally important that we get as many of our family and friends there as possible. The money we get goes to pay the donation of a fallen Sir Knight. Each one of us will eventually have a donation made to the place we chose so support of this event is critically Important to keep up our funds. I hope everyone keeps well, God bless and take care. Faithful Comptroller Paul Peltier, PGK, PFN Faithful Commander s Report: Sir Knight s and Ladies, The season of Advent is upon us and we continue to prepare ourselves for the Birth of Our Saviour in a few short weeks; let us be mindful of gifts and graces that we have been given by just believing in and practicing our Faith. I travelled to London on Friday, December 7th and stood post at the coffin of Former Master Walter Peter Holmes Harding who had lost his brave battle with Cancer. I had the great privilege of participating in a final and personal tribute to his memory, I shared with Lady Janet some memories of Former Master Peter s work for the 5th Ontario District. I was proud to know him, A GOOD MAN, A MAN OF FAITH AND DUTY. On Saturday, December 8th Our Assembly once again hosted the Annual Fr. Louis Boué Assembly Christmas Party, and as usual those who helped in any way can hold their heads high and be proud of another great event, anyone who did not attend missed a very good time. As the Lead Colour Corps Commander, it was my distinct Honour, Privilege and Duty to hand out some awards and I always cherish this responsibility. (cont. pg. 4...)
To Sir Knight and Faithful Navigator Tim Lauriault the 250 Point plaque was presented, to Sir Knight Larry Buchanan the 250 Point plaque was presented, to Sir Knight Clarence Comartin, who unfortunately was not in attendance, I mentioned that he had reached the 500 Point plateau - but I will keep it for him and award it when I see him next, to Sir Knight Richard Laporte I awarded his 750 point plate, and Commander Sir Knight Peter Timmins awarded Me with my 1,000 Point plate. I THANK these Sir Knights and ALL the other Members of Our Assembly s Colour Corps for their past participation and look forward to their continued support. I will hang up my Purple Chapeau and Cape on June 30th - UNLESS of course - reason returns to Supreme and the Board as they realize their mistake in extinguishing OUR REGALIA AND THE UNIQUENESS and RECOGNITION THAT IT EXIHIBITS. It was so nice to see Our Widows, Lady Alice Wade, Lady Bernadette Emery, Lady Evelyn Pillon, Lady Judi Gollnitz, Lady Maria Vercruysse, Lady Mary Jane Murphy, Lady Joanne Higgins and Lady Linda Loignon in attendance; and it was my extreme privilege to light a votive candle to Honour the memory of their dear departed Spouses and ALL the others who have passed since our last meeting. I am hoping that the Members of Our Assembly s Colour Corps attend as many of the functions that are and will be requested as the count down is on for Our regalia. Please consider being Proud and Patriotic and wear the regalia that is so much a part of the 4th degree and the Knights of Columbus as the 4 principles of our Order are. At the end of the night I mentioned that there will be a repeat of last year s 4th Degree Social event, but that it would be held on March 30th in McGregor; I still have some important details to confirm. SIR KNIGHTS, IF YOU HAVE ATTENDED A FUNCTION AND I HAVE NOT BEEN PRESENT PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO THAT I MAY UPDATE OUR COLOUR CORPS POINTS RECORDS.
