For many of us this has been a long time in coming. As we do so we also honor our fathers. We are blessed in many ways at St. Joseph Church. One of those blessings comes in the form of family. It is wonderful to see more and more young families bringing their children to Mass. Seeing mothers and fathers working together to raise their kids in the faith is an amazing expression of God in our midst., thank you for saying yes to life. Thank you for the strong, masculine example you display as the Catholic gentlemen you are. As you undertake the supreme responsibility of loving your wife and children, please do so with an eye on your own holiness. By inviting Our Lord into your vocation on a regular basis you will grow closer to Him and will continue your transformation into the father and husband your family needs you to be. Please also rely on the intercession of our patron St. Joseph and the Blessed Mother. As strong and faithful parents themselves, they treat your prayers as if they were their own. Just like they do your family. God bless you. Fr. Stokes

PARISH WORSHIP JUNE 17, 2018 "To what shall we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable can we use for it? It is like a mustard seed that, when it is sown in the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on the earth. But once it is sown, it springs up and becomes the largest of plants." - Mk 4:30-32b PRAYING WITH THE WORD You have given us the gift of faith, Divine Sower. Help me take time to water that seed, invite you into my heart to give it growth, and to prune whatever gets in the way of living my faith more clearly. Help me stay close to you and empower me to share the fruit of my contemplation. Amen.
