FROM THE DESK OF FR. FALLON Take a breath for a second. Breathe. Invite the Holy Infant into your heart. On the parish Day of Recollection on the 8th we talked about what it means to be present. There are so many gifts we receive from the Lord, but the one He wants most is the gift of ourselves. He wants us! One of the ways we can gift ourselves to him is by presenting ourselves to Him: in daily prayer, in volunteering, using our skills to help others, looking for ways we can lift people up with kindness. Simple things that are hard to do! We also spoke about presence, meaning being present in any time or situation. Living in the moment. Listening to those speaking to you. Being attentive at the liturgy. Giving God intentional time and getting enough rest. Very hard! But when we present ourselves and focus on the present, we can receive God s presence into our lives. He s always present, but maybe not visible to us because we re looking for Him at the Inn and not in the manger. Remember what Jesus says to His father in John 17: "Father, they are Your gift to Me! Soon and Very Soon... Peace, Fr. Fallon Please join us in welcoming the following new member into our parish community: Patricia & Mike Tado, 866 Tuxedo Blvd.

I am so very amazed by the quality and the quantity of toys donated by St. Elizabeth of Hungary, a church I know is not large, and has quite a few older members. The Circle s Birthday Club provides toys to children who otherwise would go without because many of our clients must choose the purchase of food or the payment of bills over buying their child a gift. Every child s birthday should be special, and because of your generosity, their birthday will be.
