Sec 1 Meet-The-Parents Session The Youth Ministry of PLMC would like to remind parents of 2018 Sec 1 youths that the Meet-The-Parents Session is TODAY, 14 Oct at 2pm, Conference Room. 2. Cross Over Camp 2018 (19-21 Oct 2018) A gentle reminder to all parents/ guardians of the Primary 6 children attending the Cross Over Camp: the Cross Over Camp will be starting this Friday, 19 Oct at 4 pm, Haven room. The Family Prayer Covenant session will take place on 21 Oct at the Covenant Chapel. Lunch will be provided at Jordan Hall at 1.00pm followed by a Meet-the- Pastor closed-door session with Pastor Wendy at 1.45pm. The service will start at 2.00pm. Basic Drama Workshop In this 2-session hands-on workshop, learn the basics of acting which will come in useful for short skits and mimes which can be used in Missions and Outreach. Topics will include facial expressions, body movements, stage blocking, voice projection and enunciation. Pick up tips and tricks from Amy (Mary on Good Friday). Open to all 13 years and above. Missions Membercare Workshop How do we care for our missionaries and their families whilst they are in the missions field and in another country? Come hear from Katherine Tan, Personnel Executive and Consultant in Wycliffe Singapore and Wycliffe Asia-Pacific. Her field experience in the Philippines and in other countries has helped her understand first-hand the challenges of cross-cultural living/work and the need for good membercare. She is also serving in the Foreign Domestic Workers ministry in her home church and has shared her experience in membercare work at the Asia Membercare Network seminars, FOMOs and GoForth worship sessions plus denominational mission agencies/organisations/church seminars over the years. PrayerFocus OUTREACH 1. ST LUKE S ELDERCARE AT HOUGANG MEADOW Pray that as we serve at this new location, God will prepare the hearts of the elderly to receive our Lord Jesus. May the love of Christ be magnified through all we say and do. 2. CHRISTMAS OUTREACH EVENTS We are gearing up for the various Christmas Outreach events this December. Pray for the planning committees and all the clusters who are participating. May all that we plan bring our Lord glory and may it be pleasing to Him. PLMC Camp 2019 Logo Design Competition In conjunction with our PLMC Church camp to be held from 19-22 Jun 2019, we hope to tap on your creativity to design a God-inspired logo that best represents both the camp theme Thy Kingdom Come, and all of us! ELIGIBILITY The competition is open to all who attend PLMC worship services except PLMC Staff and Church Camp 2019 Committee Members and their families. SUBMISSION All submissions should comply with the specifications stated below. Deadline for submission of entries is Sunday, 4 Nov 2018. Please email your submission to plmc.tkc@gmail.com. SPECIFICATIONS 1. The logo should be based on the camp theme Thy Kingdom Come. Please include your description for the logo symbolism, designer s concept and intent together with your submission below. 4. You are welcome to submit more than one design. 5. All submitted work must be original and not based on any pre-existing design. By joining this competition, the participant guarantees that his/her work is original. The logo will be printed on the church camp T-shirt and used in publicity collaterals related to the camp. SELECTION AND AWARDING OF WINNER We will only award ONE winning entry for the logo design. The winner will be decided by the Church Camp Committee, and the decision is final. The winning entry and winner will be unveiled during the services on 18 Nov 2018. He/she will be awarded a $100 CapitaLand voucher. Please note that once the winning design is announced, all copyright, ownership, right of alteration, and right of use will belong to PLMC.
