Congratulations! We join with you in the happiness and excitement that the gift of a new child brings to our families and our Christian Community. It is indeed a time for joy and thanksgiving. You are taking a very important step in seeking Baptism for your child, a step which will affect you, your child and the entire Christian Community in many ways. The Sacrament of Baptism is offered to infants (E.g.: children under the age of 7 years old) based on the faith of their parents. This faith finds expression by identification and commitment to the Parish Community. St. Rose of Lima Parish s preparation program will provide an opportunity to examine the reasons for seeking Baptism for you child. It is also designed to help each one of us look for ways to increase our participation in the life of our Christian Community. In response to the question concerning special circumstances such as single parents, marriage problems, etc., Vatican II has re0poened many doors to the Church. As a result, we wish to extend the most special invitation to everyone. The Baptism date below provides the time and date for the Baptismal Class, and once the required information is provided, the Baptism will be scheduled. It is required that parents and Godparents attend the Baptism Class. A suggested $100 donation per Baptism Candidate is payable to St. Rose of Lima, is required at the time you submit the application.
