Day 1 - Sat 11 March 2017 DEPART NEW ZEALAND AUCKLAND Depart Auckland this afternoon at 2:50pm (1450hrs) on our Thai Airways flight TG492 to Bangkok, arriving at 8:50pm (2050hrs). On arrival, transfer to the El Al Israel Airlines check in counter for security screening, before boarding your flight to Israel at 12:20am (0020hrs)! Day 2 Sun 12 March 2017 ISRAEL ARRIVAL, JAFFA, TEL AVIV, NETANYA Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport at 7:00 am this morning we ll meet our guide and waiting driver and begin touring with a visit to the ancient sea port city of Jaffa, then we ll take in some interesting sites in Tel Aviv. Afterwards, we ll head to the Ramada Hotel on the beautiful coast of Netanya to allow ourselves some well-earned rest in the afternoon before dinner and a good night s sleep. Day 3 Mon 13 March 2017 CAESAREA, MUHRAKA ( MT CARMEL), NAZARETH, CANA, TIBERIAS After breakfast we ll head up the coast to Caesarea Maritima s spectacular ruins, then on to Mt. Carmel where Elijah challenged the priests of Baal and Asherah where the Jezreel Valley (Megiddo) is spread out before us like a patchwork quilt. We will then drive through Megiddo to Nazareth Village (15:00) to see what life was like for Jesus growing up. Pass through Cana before arriving at our hotel on the Sea of Galilee, Ma agan Eden, near Tiberias.

Day 4 - Tues 14 March 2017 JESUS BOAT, BOAT RIDE, MT. OF BEATITUDES, TABGHA, CAPERNAUM Our day commences with a visit to see the Jesus Boat a magnificently well preserved fishing boat dating back to the 1st Century. This is followed by a Worship Boat Ride with Daniel Carmel (09:00) on the beautiful Sea of Galilee. From there we ll visit the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. We ll enjoy a St. Peter s Fish Lunch (12:30). Tabgha is next, the place where Jesus commissioned Peter after His resurrection; we ll then drive to Capernaum, Jesus s home town during the majority of His ministry years. We ll also visit the place of the Primacy of St Peter. Return to our hotel for some relaxation before dinner and overnight. Day 5 - Wed 15 March 2017 MT ARBEL, KURSI, YARDENIT A relaxed start, with your own time to relax, have a late breakfast or get yourself some lunch before heading out by midday to Mt. Arbel before travelling on to Kursi, the traditional site where Jesus delivered the demoniac. Next is to Yardenit (14:00) on the Jordan River, for those desiring to be water baptised. Return to the hotel for some time to relax on the Sea of Galilee before dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Thu 16 March 2017 BEIT SHEAN, SACHNE, QASR EL YAHUD, JERICHO, DEAD SEA We leave the Galilee this morning and head to Beit Shean, the capital city of the Decapolis which has incredible ruins and interesting New Covenant history and afterward we ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the beautiful Sachne Parklands (12:30). We ll drive down the Jordan Valley into the wilderness region to Qasr El Yahud, the actual site of Jesus s baptism. We ll drive past Jericho and enjoy a panoramic view looking down at the Oasis town, widely believed to be the world s oldest most inhabited town. Finally we will arrive and close out our day at the Isrotel Ganim Hotel at Dead Sea for dinner and overnight, on the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth!

Day 7 Fri 17 March 2017 EIN GEDI, QUMRAN This morning will start at Ein Gedi, an oasis in the desert where King David and his men hid from King Saul. We will continue to Qumran, where the most important archaeological discoveries in modern history were found (the famous Dead Sea Scrolls). We will return to our hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea, for dinner and overnight. Day 8 Sat 18 March 2017 MASADA, BEER SHEBA We will start our day, with King Herod s mountain fortress on Masada. We ll catch the cable car up as we watch the young and adventurous walk up the windy snake path. From atop the mountain, we ll explore the cisterns, synagogue, and palace and learn about the story of the Jewish zealots and how Masada has become symbolic of the Jewish people s fight for freedom and independence. After a lunch break at Masada, We ll travel to Beer Sheva to briefly see Tel Sheva and Abraham s Well. From here we will visit Sderot, an Israeli town near the border to Gaza to get an understanding of some of the challenges and triumphs faced by local residents over the past 14 years of intermittent rocket attacks from Gaza (subject to security). We will then commence the journey Up to Jerusalem and enjoy a panoramic view of the Old City from Mt Scopus before check-in at the Ramada Hotel, Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 - Sun 19 March 2017 MT. OF OLIVES, DOMINUS FLEVIT, GETHSEMENE, MT ZION We will start with a visit to the Mt. of Olives with a breathtaking view of the Holy City, we ll begin the descent down the Palm Sunday walk to Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over the city and further down we ll come to the Garden of Gethsemane where He agonised in prayer just prior to His arrest. From here we ll head to the Upper Room where believer s gathered together in prayer and fellowship awaiting the promise of the Holy Spirit. Then we ll arrive at our hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 10 Mon 20 March 2017 POOLS OF BETHESDA, ECCE HOMO, VIA DOLOROSA, SHOPPING, GARDEN TOMB We will make our way to the Old City and begin at the Pools of Bethesda and afterwards, a short walk to Ecce Homo, the place where Pilate presented Jesus after His scourging. From there we begin to walk the Via Dolorosa with its 14 Stations of the Cross. We will end at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where some time will be given to those who d like to enter. Others may wish to spend some time wandering through the Old City and exploring the shouk (markets). We ll meet back and conclude the day together at the Garden Tomb (14:45) to celebrate communion together He is Risen! Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight. After dinner, those who would like to will be taken to the Jaffa Gate. Enjoy an evening stroll and perhaps a coffee at the Mamilla Mall before seeing the Sound and Light Spectacular at David s Citadel (20:00) in the Old City. (Weather permitting).

Day 11 Tues 21 March 2017 WESTERN WALL TUNNELS, CITY OF DAVID, SOUTHERN STEPS, BETHLEHEM This morning we will once again enter the Old City Walls, and walk down to the Western Wall tunnels and enjoy the underground tour. Next, we ll visit the Western Wall itself, Judaism s holiest site, held sacred to Jews for the past 2000 years, where they pray daily facing the site where the Temple (Holy of Holies) used to stand. We will continue on to walk through portions of the City of David and through Hezekiahs tunnel, the very site where Jerusalem first became Israel s capital. We will then make our way to the Old City of Jerusalem to investigate some of the incredible ruins surrounding the Temple Mount that confirm the Biblical narrative. We will sit on the very steps, the Southern Steps, Jesus taught on that led into the Temple and see the many Mikvot (ritual baths) used by the Jews for cleansing. This afternoon, proceed to Bethlehem and enjoy a brief stop at the Shepherds Field. We ll then meet with a local Baptist Pastor at the church and hear about the challenges confronting Christianity in Bethlehem. Return to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Day 12 Wed 22 March 2017 SAMARIA, SHILO, BETHEL, MT GIRIZIM Today drive through the region of Samaria to Shilo, the site where the Tabernacle was established for several hundred years during the rule of the Judges. We ll also visit Bethel which was the site where Jacob had his dream and woke to realise he was in the house of God. If there s time, we ll also visit Mt Girizim the Mount of Blessings, overlooking an ancient Israelite city Shechem where Jesus met the woman at the Well of Samaria. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 13 Thu 23 March 2017 YAD VASHEM, ISRAEL MUSEUM, YAD HASHMONAH, ELAH VALLEY, DEPART ISRAEL OR RETURN TO JERUSALEM After checking out from hotel we ll drive to Yad Vashem the Holocaust Museum which is very sobering but incredibly important. There are an increasing number of voices around the world denying the Holocaust ever happened and it s important we never, ever forget the truth. We ll then drive to the nearby Israel Museum to see the incredible scale model of Jerusalem of Jesus s day; it s a visual perspective of all we ve experienced over the previous few days. We also enter the Shrine of the Book, to see the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Our bus will then take us to Elah Valley, the staging ground for one of the Bible s most famous battles between David & Goliath. Then, to Yad Hashmonah, a Messianic Kibbutz, where we ll enjoy our final meal together. Those continuing to Petra will return back to our hotel in Jerusalem for overnight. We ll transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport the people returning home to NZ on the evening flight at 2305 to Bangkok with El Al Israel Airlines (LY81). Day 14 Fri 24 March 2017 TRANSIT BANGKOK On arrival into Bangkok at 1500, proceed to your connecting Thai Airways flight TG491, departing at 1845 bound for Auckland. Day 15 Sat 25 March 2017 ARRIVE AUCKLAND, NEW Z E A L AND Arrive back to Auckland at 12:05pm with wonderful memories of your journey!

O PTIO NAL P E TRA E XTE NSION Day 13 Thu 23 March 2017 RETURN TO JERUSALEM After farewelling those returning to New Zealand this evening, we ll transfer back to The Ramada Hotel Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. Day 14 Fri 24 March 2017 ALLENBY BRIDGE, MT NEBO, MADABA, PETRA This morning after breakfast and check out, we ll transfer to Allenby Bridge and cross the border into Jordan. Visit Mt Nebo and Madaba before journeying south to Petra for dinner and overnight at the Panorama Hotel. Day 15 Sat 25 March 2017 PETRA We will spend today in Petra. With the opportunity to enjoy a short horse ride, and then travel on foot through the awesome CIQ valley. Visit the treasury, and explore hundreds of buildings, tombs, temples, and a 3,000-seat theatre from the first-century AD. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Petra.

Day 16 - Sun 26 March 2017 WADI RAM, AQABA & EILAT Depart Petra for Wadi Ram, setting of Lawrence of Arabia and enjoy a 4WD tour of the magnificent red desert of Edom. Enjoy a Bedouin lunch before making our way to Aqaba, on the Red Sea, to cross the border back into Israel where we ll enjoy dinner and an overnight at the Rimonim Hotel in Eilat. Day 17 - Mon 27 March 2017 NEGEV DESERT, TABERNACLE IN THE WILDERNESS & DEPARTURE Enjoy a leisurely check out before visiting the Tabernacle in the Wilderness and Solomon s Pillars at Timna Park. From there we travel through the Negev Desert, before visiting the crater at Mitzpe Ramon. Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport for flight LY081 departing Tel Aviv at 10:30 pm (2230hrs) bound for Bangkok.

Day 18 Tue 28 March 2017 TRANSIT BANGKOK On arrival into Bangkok Airport at 2:00pm (1400hrs) this afternoon, you will proceed to your connecting Thai Airways flight TG491 departing Bangkok at 6:45pm (1845hrs) bound for Auckland.
