SEND THE WORD 1. Luke 1:29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end." 34 Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?" 35 And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible." 38 Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her. A. Mary received a Prophetic Word, a Promise from God spoken thru the an angel Which revealed God purpose, plan and destiny for her life 1. At first, Mary s reactions is much like what are is when God speaks to us: a. vs 34 How can this be 2. God understands our initial reactions when He reveals His purpose & destiny for our life: a. like Mary, we wonder in amazement, trying to figure out how such a thing could possibly take place in our lives B. Hab 1:5 For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you. 1. It is important that we do not stay in the sate of being overwhelmed, or filled with Doubt & unbelief in regards to God s Word to our life a. We must learn how to properly respond to what God speaks to our life: (1) Be it a Promise from the Scriptures / a Rhema Word (2) A prophetic Word spoken over our life (3) or a vision or dream the Holy Spirit may give us 1

2. Mary went beyond her human reasoning and responded by faith and said to the angel: a. vs 38 Let it be to me according to your word (1) she went beyond the reasoning of her mind (2) she went beyond her fears (3) she went beyond her circumstance (a) and by faith responded: Let it be to me according to your word C. The young prophet Samuel had to be instructed as to how to properly respond to the Voice of God & Word of the Lord spoken into his life 1. 1 Sam 3:10 Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, "Samuel! Samuel!" And Samuel answered, "Speak, for Your servant hears." a. Samuel had to learn to things: (1) First:You do not hear God with your head / or natural ears (a) rather you hear God with your spiritual ears (2) Second: You must learn to receive the Word God is speaking to you: (a) Mary said: Let it be to me according to your word (b) Samuel was taught to respond to the word of the Lord: (1) Speak, for your servants hears (3) Third: Samuel was tau7ght to receive the Word God was speaking to him by Responding: Speak, for your servant hears (a) to hear does not just mean you heard words spoken to you (b) to hears means you will obey what God said (c) Def Hears: give attention to & to obey (1) Is that our response to what God speaks to us about our circumstance, our future, our destiny? (a) Be it a Rhema Word from Scripture, a Prophetic word, vision, dream And godly counsel spoken thru the mouth of the servant of The Lord II. When God speaks to us it is important that we understand HOW GOD SPEAKS: A. First there is the language of the Holy Spirit: 1. Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. a. Prophesy, Visions & Dreams is the language of the Holy Spirit 2. 2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; 2

a. that more sure word of prophesy is the written scripture (1) Every spirit, every manifestation, every prophesy, vision, dream, every bit of counsel we receive, all of the teaching & preaching we hear, every book we read: is to be tested to see if it lines up with scripture. (2) 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God B. Secondly in understanding How God speaks is discovered in: 1. Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, a. When God speaks to you He will declare your future, destiny, the outcome (1) He is not going to dwell on your problems & present circumstances (2) He is not going to have a pity party with you, He will declare the end from The beginning 2. Which means that there is a season when God s Word to you will manifest in God timing: a. but in the means time you have to grow & mature into that word b. you have a preparation process to go thru c. and during this process you must learn to: SEND THE WORD into your situations you face 3. We must learn to speak the Language of God: a. declaring His Word. Declaring the dream, vision, prophesy spoken over our life b. It is a powerful weapon when facing spiritual warfare, that will help bring us the breakthrough we need: (1) 1 Tim 1:18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; C. Rom 4:17 (as it is written, "I have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him whom he believed God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 1. In Gen 17:5 God speaks to Aram and changes his name to Abraham a. the father of many nations 2. In Rom 14:7 God is speaking to Abraham. He and his wife still had no children Sarah was still barren still had not received the manifestation of the promise to be a father of many nations a. But notice how God speaks to Abraham how God sent the word into Abram (1) God, who gives life to the dead calls those things which do not exist as Though they did 3

(a) In the midst of Bareness once God sent His Word into Abram s life, The Lord addressed him as Abraham: father of many nations (1) That is how address us also, once He has sent His word into our life: (a) Sent His dream, vision, promise into our life 3. Note how Abraham received the Word God sent into his life.. into his bareness a. Rom 14:18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be." (1) Every time Abraham introduced himself. Even though barren, he would say: (a) Hello I am Abraham. The father of many nations (1) be confessing his name Abraham, he was sending the word into His barrenness b. Rom 4:19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, (1) don t keep speaking of the death & bareness in your life / ministry (2) Be like Abraham & send the word into your barren womb (a) contrary to hope : send the word (b) as Abraham did not consider the deadness of his body & Sarah s womb: (1) Don t consider your circumstances. Consider your promise, your dream, your vision & send the word into your circumstances III. If you want to change your harvest / if you want to change your future: A. you must change the SEEDS YOU ARE PLANTING TODAY 1. In the parable of the Sower WORDS ARE COMPARED TO SEEDS a. Luke 8:11 The seed is the word of God. (1) When we speak The Word of God, declare The prophetic word spoken over our life, declare our dream, vision (a) we will reap the Harvest of the Promise of God b. But if we speak the devil s lies, words of fear, doubt, unbelief (1) we will reap the devil s future for our life (a) Because Word s are Seeds Seeds bring a harvest (b) What future are you going to partake of, based upon the seeds you have Planted? c. 2 Cor 4:13 And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is 4

written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak, a. Which do you believe? (1) Your circumstances (2) the devil s lies (3) or the Word God has sent into your life? B. Ps 107:20 shows us the power of sending God s Word into our life & situation 1. Ps 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. a. How did God deliver Israel from bondage of Egypt (1) How did God get Israel into their destiny / Promise land (2) How did God deliver Israel from defeat & into victory (3) How did God release His healing power into Israel so that according to Ps 105:37 And there was none feeble among His tribes. (4) How did God delivery Israel from the poverty of slavery to prosperity According to Ps 105:37 He also brought them out with silver and gold, a. Ps 107:20 He sent His Word & healed them & delivered them (1) and we must do the same: SEND THE WORD III. According to 1 Cor 1:9 God is faithful God will do His part: A. Jer 1:12 for I will hasten my word to perform it. 1. Def Hasten: to be sleepless, to be alert, to watch over a. God is watching over His word so He may perform it, bring to pass His promises in the lives of those who are: (1) sending the Word into their life & situation (2) looking for those who are faithfully doing the word (a) Are we giving God the opportunity He is looking for in bringing to pass His Word in our life & ministry? B. So we must do our part: Rom 10:8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" 1. The Word: The Word of God is near you a. In your mouth (1) Speaking, confessing, declaring, prophesying the word f God b. in your heart (1) Def Heart: Greek word Kardia: which means thoughts or feelings 5

(a) The word heart in this verse is actually speaking of our mind, & we are The word near our heart / mind by renewing our mind with the Word of God: (1) Rom 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. c. We are also to have the Word of God near us by being a doer of the Word: (1) James 1:25 but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does 6
