Project Where will we go? Arusha Maasai village of Moirowa near Longido - (-2.532937, 36.490802) or another similar village designated by our local Young Life Staff Where will we stay? Arusha - Local hotel that Young Life has used many times before. Maasai village: Kanaga: A well respected back-country transportation and camping specialist company - kanangainternational.com Kanaga will take care of all our lodging, cooking, water, and bathroom needs We will stay in 2 person tents - This will be a back country service project

Project What will we do? Service Project We will be working in the local school. Basic construction, painting, and beautification will be taking place. We might work to bring extra funds for a possible water project as well. Nightly Young Life Club Music, laughter, games, talk about life and the Christian Faith Cabin Time: A space for students to talk about the day, Young Life club, life and and their views on faith

Safety Who is organizing? Young Life Deutschland, Young Life Africa, Young Life Expeditions Young Life Deutschland: Camping director & senior leadership Young Life Africa: Local staff and senior leadership Young Life Expeditions: Part of Young Life that specializes in helping groups go to foreign countries Young Life Expeditions has sent multiple groups to Tanzania
Safety What adults are on the trip? Local Munich Leaders: We bring one leader per every five students on average - Our leaders spend the entire week with students and are not responsible for any organization Assignment Team: Site bosses, Medical Personal, Club Personal, Camp Director, local staff - There will be no shortage of adults on this trip.
Safety Immunizations: (Two Years ago) Required Vaccines: Hepatitis A - Typhoid (can be taken in pill form) Highly Recommended Vaccines: Hepatitis B, Malaria, Rabies Possible Vaccines: Yellow Fever Consult your doctor Security: ISOS (www.internationalsos.com): Young Life adheres to to ISOS rating protocols and recommendations and our staff will be in close contact with the local African national staff Local staff, local village, private security

Travel & Cost Cost: (Not Final) - Negotiations are ongoing. Service Project part of trip (lodging, food, in country transportation, service project supplies): 1170 Safari: 220 Airfare: 760 Leader Surcharge: 250 We will take one leader per five students Total: 2400 due to Munich Young Life Additional Cost: Visa: $50 or $100 and Spending Money
