Community Church Newsletter Oct 2016 Segullah 2016 - Year of Possession of the Promises JESUS CHRIST -the High Priest of our confession Heb 3:1 -. the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus. Col 3:1 - If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Heb 7:25 - Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Based on the above scriptures dear child of God, you can understand that JESUS is the High Priest. JESUS is sitting at the right hand of God. JESUS always lives to make intercession for His children. Lord Jesus has defeated the devil and he is made powerless. But the Bible talks about Satan in Rev 12:10 as being the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night Satan is looking for an opportunity to accuse you before God and bring failure and defeat in your life. Hence we find in 1 John 2:1 that we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous one. Jesus is still standing in the gap pleading our cause against the accusation of Satan. With what is Lord Jesus pleading our cause? Heb 4:14 - Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Jesus is there pleading based your confession [what you say] He is using your confession against the accusations of the devil. He is the High Priest of our confession. See and understand the importance of what you say and the words you speak as it determines your destiny. Are you complaining, grumbling and speaking against the Word of God? Are you speaking of defeat and failure all the time? Watch out as the accuser is waiting to accuse you and bring guilt into your life and lead you into a path of destruction. Jesus takes our confession and intercedes before God the Father, so that we can experience victory. So the way to your victory is to confess the Word of God and possess the promise of God. Based on your experiences and situations, you may think that no one is hearing you and your prayer is not answered. But Jesus is there to hear your prayer as He is the high priest of our confession. Feast of Trumpets - Rosh Hashana 2nd, 3rd, 4th Oct 2016 As a church, we celebrated Rosh Hashanah which marks the beginning of the New Year as per God's calendar and received the Word step by step. The word shared by Ps. Prabhu Service over three days was straight out of God's heart for His children to move forward and be blessed. This year, God has assured us of His REST, walking with His VISION & TRUTH and being CROWNED WITH HIS LOVE. The church rejoices as this Word has breathed in a new lease of life and a vision to see ourselves walk into the promises of God. With over 250 in attendance each day, celebrating the Feast of Trumpets in the principle has been a blessing to one and all.
Feast of Atonement - Yom Kippur - 12th Oct 2016 The church celebrated the Feast of Atonement and rejoiced for the gift of salvation in Christ Jesus. With over 200 in attendance, the Word shared by Ps. Comfort put into perspective of what God expects from us as His children, the value of His sacrifice and the HOLINESS that we should walk in being obedient to God s Word. Truly the Word SET US FREE. "Call to Holiness"
8th Anniversary Celebration 16th Oct 2016 As a church, we have celebrated our 8th Anniversary this year, thanking God for His love and faithfulness that has been bestowed upon us and moving ahead with a vision to reach out with the love of Jesus! With over 450 in attendance for the service, the Word shared by Ps. Prabhu about the GOODNESS of God and that this year we will see it being showered upon every area of our lives has truly been a blessing. Amazing Praise & Worship, good Word, encouraging fellowship followed by lunch It was truly jubilant time!
Feast of Tabernacles - Sukkot - 17th Oct 2016
Started from 9th October 2016, at Alwal and Yapral headed by Ps. Comfort and Bro. Samuel B respectively, with teams comprising the Menorah Bible School Batch 7 students - the evening prayer meetings are held every Sunday evening REACHING OUT to the people living in the surrounding areas. Anchors Teen s Ministry 1st & 15th Oct 2016 It's a great joy to see the teens of our church grow from strength to strength as they get equipped with God's Word every 1st and 3rd Saturday at the ANCHORS meet. Each of them so different but all being special in God's eyes and that's what they have been learning week after week. This ministry has been seeing some amazing results in seeing these young people nurture the passion to love God and walk in His ways. Anchors Meet 5th Nov & 19th Nov Saturday 6pm Chess Tournament 11th & 12th Oct 2016 With over 17 participants in various age categories, the Chess Tournament was a hit where all the participants put their best foot forward. The winners and the participants were awarded during the 8th Church Anniversary Service
Youth Fest - 22nd Oct 2016 It was an evening well spent on a Saturday night at this month's Youth Fest with an amazing time Praise & Worship, Game and Word by Bro. Sumanth to GUARD ONE'S HEART. With over 50 in attendance, the Youth Fest is the place to be every 4th Saturday. Youth Fest - 4th Saturday - 26th Nov - 6:30pm 50+ Youthful Fellowship - 22nd Oct 2016 Held in the evening, 50+ Youthful Fellowship had a wonderful fellowship of being encouraged by the Word, Worship & Testimonies. With 8 in attendance, all the attendees were truly refreshed! 50+ Youthful Fellowship Every 4th Sat 4pm - 5.30pm
Healing Service - 23rd Oct Healing Service which was started from 23rd October 2016 onwards saw an attendance of over 47. The service which starts at 6am saw powerful time of Praise & Worship, Word by Ps. Prabhu and good fellowship. God is doing great things amidst us through this service. As a church we encourage you to be part of this service and experience healing and deliverance in Jesus name! Every Sunday Morning - 6 am to 7:30 am Singles Meet - 29th Oct 2016 With over 35 in attendance, held on a Saturday night, the Singles Meet with Ps. Prabhu was a good source of knowledge concerning marriage and finding the RIGHT ONE with the help of God s Word. It was never God s plan for man to be lonely but to fulfill God s plan through the union of marriage!
Youth Service - 23rd Oct The first Youth Service STARTED WITH BANG on 23rd Oct at 2:30pm with over 80 young people in attendance. The service saw enthusiastic crowd, hungry for the Word and sowing their time in the right place. Amazing Praise & Worship, fun games and thought provoking Word by Ps. Prabhu along with an insight of the coming week's topics and great fellowship - this Youth Service had it all! This is a shout out to all the youth out there to come and be a part of the Youth Service.
