In Renegade Gospel, pastor and author Mike Slaughter presents Jesus and his challenging message to inspire us during Lent, Easter, and through the year. Central to the Christian faith is a man who denies all our pre-conceived notions about what God should look like. Joining his movement will mean coming to terms with the real Jesus, the rebel Jesus. Jesus didn t come to start a religion. The rebel Jesus came with a renegade gospel to start a revolution. Schedule (No Sunday School March 13th & 27th) February 28th -- Revolutionary Lifestyle -- with Bob Nagel March 6th -- The Most Important Question... -- with Monica Woodward March 20th -- Seeing Jesus Today -- with Karen Bishop April 3rd -- The Way of the Cross -- with leadership T.B.A. April 10th -- Resurrection -- with Reverend Dave Nichols LUMC LIFT - Ladies In Fellowship Together This Tuesday, March 1st, 6:30 p.m. Meet other LUMC ladies for an evening of dining out, laughter, and good conversation. LIFT meets on the first Tuesday of each month at Crossroads Restaurant at 6:30 p.m. to share food, stories, and love. Please join us! Special Giving: One Great Hour of Sharing Next Sunday, March 6th Since 1940, when its forerunner was established to meet the needs of those suffering overseas at the onset of World War II, the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) has continued to respond to those in desperate need -- today throughout more than eighty countries around the world. Your generous giving to One Great Hour of Sharing is what allows UMCOR to act as the arms and legs of Christ s church, moving toward the most vulnerable in their darkest days. Convinced that all people have God-given worth and dignity -- without regard to race, religion or gender -- together we are assisting those impacted by crisis or chronic need. Gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing lay the foundation of all UMCOR work by covering the costs of doing business. With all of UMCOR's basic expenses covered, 100% of contributions designated for specific programs can go directly to those programs. Please prayerfully consider giving to this important work.
