Indescribable by Louie Giglio is more of a documentary then a movie. Synopsis: The heavens are telling the glory of God, and their expanse declares the work of His hands. Night after night they remind us of just how small we are, and how huge God is. Looking out into the far reaches of the universe, we find a seemingly infinite expanse of mystery and wonder, intricately fashioned by a God of unfathomable size and power. Just a glimpse of one of the billions of visible galaxies He has formed resizes us, shrinking us, and the world we call home, to seeming insignificance in an instant. But as tiny as we may seem, the God who knows every star by name also knows yours, and mine. And in the most stunning rescue imaginable, God sent His Son to this spinning planet we call home-- the Creator reconnecting us to Himself with life that never ends. Indescribable takes us on an image-rich journey through the cosmos, allowing us to peer into God's universe to discover the amazing magnitude of His greatness and grace. Louie Giglio is Pastor of Passion City Church and the Founder of the Passion movement, which exists to call a generation to leverage their lives for the fame of Jesus. We will have a bring and share finger food meal from 6.00pm followed by the screening of Indescribable at 7.00pm. Trivia Night A Trivia Night supporting chaplaincy in Bendigo schools is being held on Monday 19 March at the Eaglehawk Town Hall at 7.00pm for 7.30pm start. Tables of six or less. $15 per person. BYO nibbles, non-alcoholic drinks & glasses, tea & coffee available. Book by Friday 16 March by calling 5442 1732 or 5448 3912 or email rayandro@bigpond.com or bjrains@bigpond.com

The Rector Writes I dare you! Have you ever been dared to do something. For young people, it is not unusual to play truth or dare which has evolved over the years into adult challenges like that seen on Fear Factor the TV show where people were dared to do all sorts of crazy and revolting things like, lie in the dark in a pit full of snakes, or eat a rotten ostrich egg. Absurd! But people actually took up the dares and carried out the feats much to the horror of the audiences. I recently read the following prayer and thought wow dare I pray that. Over turning tables Truth be told, Jesus, There are lots of tables that need overturning in our lives; Beneath the veneer of respectability the tidy rows and neat regulations hide dark addictions and angry judgements hungry greeds and heartless rejections We know the pain and so do those around us of keeping up the facade; What a relief it would be to have it all upset, smashed, scattered, destroyed So, perhaps, Jesus, today you could pay us a visit and help us to radically rearrange the furniture of our lives Amen. Someone once said we need to be careful about what we pray for because we just may get it. This is one of those prayers that remind me of that caution. Dare I pray it, dare I open myself up to the refining and cleansing of work of our Lord? Have thine own way Lord, have thine own way. Blessings Tracey

ABM envelopes were distributed to the congregation last week. There are three different envelopes providing three different missions you can donate to. Please take a look at the three envelopes and decide if you want to swap yours for one of the other missions. Please place your envelopes in the collection bowl on Sunday. One of the missions is: PHILIPPINES LIVELIHOODS PROJECT This Lent consider supporting the work of ABM s Philippine church partners, Episcopal Community Action for Renewal and Empowerment (ECARE) and Visayas and Mindanao Regional Office for Development (VIMROD), whose programs help community groups in rural areas to value add community and individual assets to improve people s livelihoods. The project is enabling many in various parts of the Philippines to emerge from poverty and become empowered citizens, providing real hope for their children and future generations. Your gifts will fund vital training of community associations, provide loans or seeding grants for groups and individuals to develop their local assets, and lead to social and economic transformation.
