Indescribable Movie Night On Friday 23 March there will be a movie night. Indescribable by Louie Giglio is more of a documentary then a movie. Synopsis: The heavens are telling the glory of God, and their expanse declares the work of His hands. Night after night they remind us of just how small we are, and how huge God is. Looking out into the far reaches of the universe, we find a seemingly infinite expanse of mystery and wonder, intricately fashioned by a God of unfathomable size and power. Just a glimpse of one of the billions of visible galaxies He has formed resizes us, shrinking us, and the world we call home, to seeming insignificance in an instant. But as tiny as we may seem, the God who knows every star by name also knows yours, and mine. And in the most stunning rescue imaginable, God sent His Son to this spinning planet we call home--the Creator reconnecting us to Himself with life that never ends. Indescribable takes us on an image-rich journey through the cosmos, allowing us to peer into God's universe to discover the amazing magnitude of His greatness and grace. Louie Giglio is Pastor of Passion City Church and the Founder of the Passion movement, which exists to call a generation to leverage their lives for the fame of Jesus. We will have a bring and share finger food meal from 6.00pm followed by the screening of Indescribable at 7.00pm. Jesus The Game Changer Jesus the Game Changer is a 10 episode study series and shares how the life and teaching of Jesus changed the world and why it matters. The series will run on Thursdays at 6.00pm from 12 April to 14 June. You are welcome to attend 1 or all episodes. Cursillo Ultreya An Ultreya will be held at St Mary s on Saturday 14 April. The Rector Writes...WOW oooooohhhhh Sounds my grand-daughter Scarlett makes everyday as she is awed and delighted by so many things we take for granted. I turn the light on and the lips pucker up, the eyes widen and out comes the oooooohhh, wow. How beautiful it is to be so thrilled by so little! Over the last few weeks I have found myself not only thinking of how lovely that is but finding myself likewise being amazed and awed at what I have seen or experienced. Let me share with you, 3 of my moments of awe. The first happened a couple of weeks ago. The children at our On The Way service were asked what was on their heart, what things would they like us to pray with them about. There were all sorts of important things like, getting better at maths and reading, starting school again, losing friends who were moving and, sea turtles. Yes, sea turtles. Fast forward 3 days and I was sitting there late one night reading through the information for the upcoming World Day of Prayer and lo and behold, I find the country focused on this year, Suriname is wait for it home to the biggest sea turtles. How wonderful it was to share the following week, with the group, and particularly the young boy that asked if we would pray for sea turtles, that thousands of Christians across the globe would be joining us and praying for the protection and preservation of sea turtles A...wow oooh... moment. On another occasion, the idea came to me to get a nice journal or some sort of book and start writing in it things I hope will encourage and inspire Scarlett when she s older. Things I d like her to know or teach her. Two days later I spoke at the Tuesday fellowship lunch with Scarlett (who stole the show), and was given a lovely and unexpected thank you gift. Would you believe it was a beautiful notebook wow oooh another moment of awe. And lastly, I have spoken recently about the importance of having a vision, of knowing who we are, where we want to go, what direction we want to go in, or believe we are called to go in. It is something that has been really on my mind of late and something I feel even more convinced on now, that God is leading us to think about and work on as I recently went to Melbourne to meet with someone I go to, to reflect on my ministry and this person, said to me, oh by the way have I ever given you that little exercise about vision wow oooh How good it is, when we have those aha moments, those moments of awe and wonder. May we never lose our sense of amazement and marvel of Gods wonderful gifts and blessings in our lives prayer, divine guidance, inspiration, encouragement, fellowship, provision, creation and much much more. Blessings Tracey
