April 2014 602 Morgan Blvd. Harlingen, TX 78550 www.stpaultexas.com MIDWEEK WEDNESDAY LENT SERVICES April 2 nd & April 9 th 7PM Soup Supper in Parish Hall, 6:00PM - 6:45PM BAPTISM OPPORTUNITY HOLY WEEK Palm Sunday April 12 th, 5:30PM April 13 th, 8:00AM & 10:30AM Maundy Thursday Worship, April 17 th, 7PM Good Friday Service of Darkness, April 18 th, 7PM Easter Vigil, Saturday, April 19 th, 5:30PM EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 20 TH Sunrise Worship in Sanctuary, 6:30AM Traditional Worship, 8:00 AM Contemporary Worship, 1030 AM Pancake Breakfast in Parish Hall, 7:30AM - 9:30AM Easter Egg Hunt 9:45AM Through the Word of God and the Waters of Baptism, God assures us of the forgiveness of our sins and our place in His family. If you or your loved one has never been baptized there is a great upcoming opportunity to receive this great gift. As a part of our Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 19 th at 5:30PM we will include an opportunity for children, youth and adults to be baptized. If you are interested or would like more information about baptism, speak to one of the pastors. IMPROVE THE VIEW! SPECIAL PROJECT! We are working on improving our sanctuary for all of our worshippers by adding an additional screen & projector. The additional screen will go up in the same position up front, but on the right side. This will help all worshipers, especially those who may not be able to stand during worship; as well as children who may be blocked by those in front of them, by creating additional viewing angles This will also help us by providing another viewing screen should the current one fail; as has happened recently, and will allow worship to proceed with minimal interruption. This is the first phase of some plans we have to enhance and broaden all of our 1 worship services, to reach more people with good news of Jesus Christ. Our coming phases will include opportunities to enhance our audio system, as well as provide live streaming and recorded video to those not able to join us in our weekly worship. Our first phase goal for this projector is to raise $15,000 for the equipment and electric work needed to accomplish this project. Donations to this project should be marked Media Fund, and may be placed in the offering plates or sent to the church office. Thank you for your help in improving our worship space.
