FAIRFIELD GOOD NEWS KNOWING CHRIST AND MAKING HIM KNOWN June 2015 Important Events: June 7 Communion June 12 High Society Tea June 14 Picnic June 20 Baseball June 27 Open House at Roberta s Fairfield Reformed Church 360 Fairfield Road Fairfield, NJ 07004 973-227-5428 Prayer Line: 973-227-1190 Rev. Allan D. Conover, Pastor Email: fairfieldreformedchurch@verizon.net Web site: http://churches.rca.org/fairfield From the Desk of Pastor In May, Phyllis and I spent a week in Arizona with our daughter Sarah and her family including the newest addition to the family. Ava turned one year old on May 16th so we celebrated her birthday. On May 23rd, we celebrated Amber s graduation from high school. Then we all returned to New Jersey to celebrate the marriage of our son Stephen to Carly Seamon. It was a wonderful and exhausting two weeks. As I write this on June 3rd, Sarah, Mike and the kids are at Newark Airport preparing to return home. And later today Phyllis and I will celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. I share all of this with you first because I am a proud husband, father, and grandfather. I have been richly blessed by God when it comes to family. But it also reminds me that we here at Fairfield Reformed Church are a family. We share our joys together. And we share our sorrows together. One of our members, Mary Hugo, went home to be with the Lord in May. We will miss her because she was such an important part of our family. But we are also joyful for she has received the reward of her faith, her salvation. She is one of the Blessed who has died in the Lord. Let us continue to share our joys and our sorrows, our needs and our blessings, so that together, as one body, we will lift up our hearts and voices to the God who has called us and made us a part of his family through Jesus Christ our Savior. Allan
