Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Christ, What a journey we are having! We are now into the fall season and I have nothing but fond memories of our summer worship. In our trust and faith in Jesus we were richly blessed with wonderful shepherding from a variety of ministers. We had blessed music to adore our Father in Heaven. And we met and embraced many new brothers and sisters in Christ. Thanks be to God for a summer filled with worship like that! Going into the new season we continue our trust in Jesus leadership and love. We are called to continue to work for His glory and mission on this earth. Lund needs to prayerfully find and identify the will of Jesus in Lund s mission and vision. We need to find out who we are through Christ s leading. Together we will search for those Godly answers. While we eagerly grow together the council is so happy and blessed to announce that Pastor Steve Bruer and his wife Jane have answered Jesus call to be our interim minister for 9 months, starting October 1, 2017. We are so excited to have Pastor Steve and Jane help shepherd the Lund flock in our journey on Christ s path. Please welcome them both and thank God for his caring love. Peace be with us! Robin Turnwall Lund President 2

Welcome to Pastor Steve and Jane Bruer to Lund our interim pastor for the next 9 months. Dear Bothers and Sister in faith, It is with much joy and excitement that Jane and I announce to you we have accepted the call to serve you as your interim pastor for the next nine months starting October 1st. Most, if not all of you have been able to get to know us when we came to lead worship at Lund these past few months and we have been able to get to know quite a few of you too. We fell in love with you and your church when we first stepped foot inside. You folks have been so welcoming and so loving to us, especially at a time when we really needed it. Thank you! Just a couple of other things to relay to you. I am going to do whatever I can to help each of you to grow in your faith and I will be there when you need me and Jane, I relayed to the council last Sunday and I say to you; my goal for the next nine months is to make an every home visit of all the Lund membership in order to better acquaint myself with you and you with me. Jane may join me as much as possible. Just to let you know my office door is always open to come and talk. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. That s all for now. I ll talk more about myself and my family in my November newsletter article. Again, we are excited to be with you for at least the next nine months!! Shalom, Pastor Steve 3

Hello there, Mousey here. Wow, October is about here and I don't know where September went. Things have been busy with Taste of Lund, with lots of goodies, mouse size servings. They ran out early again too. Planning is underway for the meatball dinner. Yummy, good food. Be sure and sign up to help. God has been busy sending us good temporary pastors and he has also sent us Pastor Steve that will be here for some time. A good thing for all of us at Lund. I am anxious to see all that God has in store for us at Lund. Keep praying for His guidance. Till next month, Mousey **************************************************** For Lutheran Disaster Assistance, which is where the TX District is directing funds.
