PRELUDE *Those who are able are invited to stand Mr. Maxim Pakhomov WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Rev. Gary Morello, Associate Minister PASSING OF THE PEACE HYMN #353 CALLED AS PARTNERS IN CHRIST S SERVICE *MOMENT OF GRATITUDE (10:00 only) Mrs. Christine Geeding, Director of Christian Education *CALL TO WORSHIP Gather to give thanks with your whole heart. Rejoice in God s love and faithfulness. We bow down, for this is God s holy temple. We pour out our thanks in songs of praise. God answers us when we call. Our Creator increases our strength of soul. Great is the glory of our God! We rejoice in God s steadfast love. Wait for God, and hope in God s Word. Open your hearts to the celebration of life! Our ears are attentive to the voice of God. We open our lives to God s direction. (responsively) 2

*OPENING PRAYER *LORD S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen. *GLORIA PATRI *CHILDREN GIVING THANKS/DISMISSAL (10:00 only) JOYS AND CONCERNS MOMENT OF SILENCE OLD TESTAMENT LESSON PSALM 130 Marianne Lauer, Deacon (8:30) Phil Meyer, Deacon (10:00) Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications! If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, so that you may be revered. I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning. O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is great power to redeem. It is he who will redeem Israel from all its iniquities. 3

*HYMN #S6 I WANT TO WALK AS A CHILD OF THE LIGHT EPISTLE LESSON ROMANS 12:3-8 Rev. Morello For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think with sober judgement, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness. SERMON "USE YOUR GIFTS Rev. Morello & Mrs. Geeding OFFERTORY (10:00 only) LET THE CHILDREN COME (Mark 10:13-16) Senior Choir Joseph M. Martin *DOXOLOGY (10:00 only) *PRAYER OF DEDICATION (unison) (10:00 only) Thank you, God, for your faithfulness. We bring ourselves and some of what we have accumulated to praise you and do the work you call us to do. Fulfill your purpose for this church as you enlist our offerings and our lives. In amazement at the work of your hands, we reach out our hands to help others and invite them to join us. In our labors for you, we will not lose heart. Help us to do your will. Amen. 4

Congratulations to our church for an effort well done!
