1 Introduction The more we know the names of Allah the more we understand His decree. As our knowledge of Allah s names increases we understand the situation/incidents around us better. It is obligatory upon us to have knowledge of Allah. When we know Allah we will know about ourselves and our situations. Knowing Allah makes our life easy, as it is easy to project / see life when we know Allah. Our reaction to incidents depends on our faith. The more we have faith the more our actions and reactions will be balanced. We are accountable for all our reactions and we are all a test of each other. We need to do the best that we can do even if others are bad to us.
2 Al Khaliq / Al Khalaaq Today we will study the name of Allah al Khaliq and Al Khalaaq. Both these names came from Kha la qa. The meaning of Kha la qa in language is 1. to create or to initiate the creation of anything without an example. Anything invented by the humans is imitation of Allah s creation. Allah is Al Khaliq and His creation is Perfect. Anything made by the humans needs to modified over period of time. Noah A.S created the first ship. It was Allah who inspired Noah A.S. to build the ship. 2. is estimation or decree. Al Khaliq Al Khaliq is The one who creates without an example before but based on estimation. Allah initiated the creation and estimated it before our creation. Before Allah created the human being, Allah made the decree and estimated for all the creation in the Preserved Tablet. One thousand year before the creation of the heaven and earth Allah commanded the pen to write the decree of all the creation till the Day of Judgment in the Preserved Tablet. We are created because Allah decreed for us to be created. Al Khalaaq Al Khalaaq is an excessive form. It means The one who creates from one stage to another stage, from one time to another e.g. the creation of mankind from the drop of semen to a baby; then the baby changes to toddler then to teenager, then comes youth and finally old age etc. Allah gave provision to the man in each stage. It also means the vastness of Allah s creation. There is creation of Allah that we cannot see e.g. Jinn, angels etc. Also there is creation of Allah that we do not even know about. When Allah created the human being; all the creation is created from the male and female but there are three exceptions. o Allah created Adam A.S. without any father or mother. Allah decreed for human to be created and then he commanded Jibreel A.S. to go to the earth and take from its different parts (rocks, sand, precious stones etc.) Then Allah created Adam A.S from His hand as a picture. Iblees was watching from the side. Iblees came to Adam A.S. and knocked to find it
3 was hollow. Then Iblees went in and out of Adam A.S. and he underestimated it. Then Allah blew His soul in Adam A.S. and Adam A.S. sneezed and said ALhumdulillah and it was said to him YarhamukumAllah ( first words said and heard by Adam A.S.) Then Allah taught Adam A.S. all the languages, names of all the objects, names of all the offsprings, names of all the angels and names of everything.). Allah then showed some objects to the angels and asked them the names but the angels did not know. Adam A.S. was elevated due to knowledge. Allah asked Adam A.S. to tell the names of the objects. After Adam A.S. told them the names then Allah commanded the angels and Iblees to prostrate to Adam A.S. But Iblees refused to prostrate as he said he was made from fire while Adam was made from clay. Then Allah casted Iblees away as he did not deserve to live with the angels. o Adam A.S was alone so Allah created his companion Hawa A.S. from the rib of Adam. Hawa A.S. is created without any mother. The Prophet SAW told the men to take care of women and told them to be loving to them as they are fragile. o The other person is Isa A.S. who is created without any father. His mother is Maryam A.S. who is a devotee Her heart was connected with Allah. She is the purest of the women as she isolated herself for worship. The name Maryam means worshipper. Then Allah sent Jibreel A.S. in the form of very handsome man. As soon as she saw him she said I seek refuge from Ar Rahman. Jibreel A.S. told her, he is messenger from Allah and he came to give her glad tidings of a son. Maryam A.S. replied how can she have a son when she is not married and she is not a bad woman. Jibreel A.S. told her the matter is decreed. Maryam A.S. is a chaste women and Allah protected her. Allah made Jibreel A.S to blow the soul of Isa A.S. in Maryam A.S and due to this Maryam A.S. conceived. When Isa A.S. was born he spoke as a baby. This too was a miracle of Allah. Allah created the manners. We think the manners are a characteristics but actually it is a creation. Allah created the creation and He created the manners. So if we want to have manners we need to ask Allah. In life our physical creation is not important but our manners are important. Allah also created the actions. One is the actions inside our body e.g. our heartbeat, functioning of each body part. The other is outward action i.e. walking. In order to do any action we need two things: o 1. Intention/ motive. o 2. Power Both the above are from Allah. We need to have intention and be truthful and need to ask Allah. Allah will then bring it to us and He is able to make us to do it. Allah tells us in the Quran that Allah created us and He created our actions.
4 When we know the above it makes us to worship Allah alone. We need to know that Allah created us to worship him. The name Allah AL Khaliq lead us to worship Him alone. We need to believe in Him alone. When we worship Allah alone, He will create the means for us and He will create the provision for us. When we worship Allah, then He can create anything for us. Allah gave us the creation around us to worship Him alone. Every creation around us leads us to la ilaha illal la. We have so much evidence around us Impact on us When we know Allah is Al Khaliq and Al Khalaaq then 1. We worship Allah alone. 2. We know that nothing is impossible for Allah. Allah is able to create anything.
