From the Pastor s Pen Lord, Fill us with grace, mercy and power. Help us to discern where your spirit is leading. Give us courage to step through the doors you open. Amen. Dear Friends: I am looking at the calendar and thinking about Palm Sunday and Easter. It seems to be just around the corner and it is. We are planning a very special week of worship and celebra on. We begin with Palm Sunday celebra ng the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. He is modest and yet there is a sense of majesty. The King of Kings and only bego en Son of God has arrived. The by-standers honor him by clearing a path before him and shou ng adula ons. Soon enough, those shouts of joy turn to anger and disgust. A dark day lurks ahead, yet Jesus presses on. His death and resurrec on transform what humanity knew and expected from God. Jesus changed all that we knew before, and to this day He con nues to transform our hearts and fulfill our lives. I hope you have observed a holy Lent and will finish these 40 days by taking me to read the scriptures and reflect on their meaning for you. If you d like to journal your thoughts, it is a good way to express yourself in a safe and non-threatening way. Prayer is always a good form of expression, and for those who are interested we provide both prayer and scripture on our website. God is at work to deepen our understanding of His love for us and to create depth in our spiritual journey. Like Jesus, no one can take our place; it is something we must give ourselves to. As we prepare for Easter, take a moment for prayer. Open the Holy Bible to the book of Ma hew, Mark, Luke and John and read what God has to say to you. He is speaking if we will only listen. God bless us, every one, Connections is published each month. Our church vision is to Live for God, Love our neighbor, and Grow in Christ. Visit us at 725 Wall Street, Wentzville.
