July: An average of 26 individuals participated in monthly coalition meetings; representing 64 member agencies. October: Media Action Toolkit released. October: Project T.A.N.G.O. (Technical Assistance for Neighborhood and Grassroots Organizations) kicked off with grassroots neighborhood summit. November: Several Community Issue Papers were released, centering on the issue of underage drinking prevention. November: Community Connector was created.

2004 February: Connecting Coalitions Key Stakeholders meeting held, Community Agenda project initiated. February: Volusia s Priority Risk Factors: a community review of critical issues impacting children in 2004 released. May: Enforcing Underage Drinking Task Force created under Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws Program in Florida (targeting City of Daytona Beach). July: An average of 32 individuals participated in monthly coalition meetings (more than 80 member organizations). August: PERSPECTIVE: What tomorrow s future is saying about today report released. August: Creating a Community Agenda initiative formally launched. October: Engaging Youth Conference Held November: Parent PERSPECTIVE project begins. 2005 October: One Voice for Volusia Employee Handbook & Guidelines approved by Board of Directors. October: One Voice for Volusia s starts work as an external evaluator for Stewart Marchman Center, Focus on Flagler Youth Coalition and Daytona Beach Community College. May: Health and Human Services Summit held at Volusia County Health Department, attracting 300 attendees and 61 organizations. October: Volusia s Priority Risk Factors Report Released. July: Approximately 116 individual members representing over 90 organizations. An average of 33 members participated in the monthly coalition meetings. 2006 February: The House Subcommittee on Criminal Justice, Drug Policy, and Human Resources publicly recognized One Voice for Volusia at a hearing in Washington, DC. One Voice for Volusia was also the only agency of more than 700 coalitions across the country highlighted in the February, 2006 release of President Bush s National Strategy to combat illegal drug use. The report specifically cited the Community Agenda as the reason for this recognition. May: Inaugural Annual Community Agenda Snapshot Report released. December: Parent Perspective: About raising children in Volusia County report released. October: Updated/Revised One Voice for Volusia Mission Statement

2007. August: First Annual Coalition Membership Directory Released. September: Spearheaded Community Coalition Alliance. One Voice for Volusia held official and first coalition meeting. October: Health and Human Services Summit held at Ocean Center; 400 attracted October: Recipient of Substance Abuse Response Guide (SARG) grant (now known as Deltona Prevention Project). June: Community Agenda Snapshot released (2 nd annual report) July: Average of 51 members at monthly coalition meetings/190 individuals members August: www.211live.org was launched online in partnership with The United Way s First Call for Help. December: New look to Community Connector launched. December: Coalition recognized at National Drug Control Strategy Press Conference in Washington, DC. 2008 February: Started tracking coalition meeting attendance. June: Community Agenda Snapshot released (3 rd annual report) July: Coalition Membership Defined by Active and Supportive, Coalition Co-Chair, staggered terms begin. September: Media Action Toolkit updated and released. December: Last Volusia s Priority Risk Factor Report released (incorporated into Community Agenda). 2009 February: thrive by five: ensuring hope, health & happiness in early childhood report released. February: Deltona Parent Perspective Focus Group & survey results released March: thrive by five collaborative initiated. April: Record number of attendees 112 at coalition meeting! June: Community Agenda Snapshot released (4 th annual report) October: Annual Health & Human Services Summit at the Ocean Center held, attracting 500 attendees

2010 May: Launch of thrive by five Strategic Plan June: Release of fifth annual Community Agenda Snapshot July: Record number of Coalition Membership Surveys (97), representing 33% of the full membership. October: Health & Human Services Summit, record number of tradeshow participants! (89). December: An average number of 77 members attending each month. December: Nearly 1,400 subscribers received 612 Community Connector messages in 2010. 2011 May: thrive by five PYRAMID Partnership Summit held, attracting 83 parents and providers to build and maintain family involvement in early childhood (prenatal through age five). June: Release of sixth annual Community Agenda Snapshot June: Record number of coalition membership surveys completed (117!). September: Health and Human Services Summit held for the seventh year. October: Engaging Youth Initiative wraps up its work over the last year December: Began work with area hospitals Community Health Improvement Plans/Process December: Nearly 1,800 subscribers received more than 600 Community Connector messages in 2011. 2012 March: Community Agenda Steering Committee Disbands; Board of Directors Assumes Advisory Role June: Release of seventh annual Community Agenda Snapshot, Fewer Copies Printed July: Instituted Annual Subscriptions July: Community Connector is Directly Tied to Coalition Subscriptions as Benefit July: Composition of One Voice for Volusia Executive Committee Changes/Expands August: Convened the first thrive by five Leadership Roundtable September: Drug-Free Communities Grant Ends (ten consecutive years of funding from the Substance Abuse Mental Health Administration) September: Health and Human Services Summit held for the eighth year. 2013 Coalition becomes a Self-Sustaining Entity through Subscriptions, Sponsorships and Professional Services and hires a new Executive Director Health and Human Services Summit held for the ninth year. 8 th Annual Community Agenda Snapshot released Grant funding from Community Coalition Alliance launches Substance Abuse Prevention Evaluation thrive by five is awarded the Children s Week Community Innovation Award
