How Do We Know They Are Real? Most of us today subscribe to the principle Show Me. We ask Is the chakra system just a hypothesis or do chakras really exist? They are real. Seers can see them. Healers can feel them. And biofeedback sensors can measure them. 6
Chapter Two The 7 Funnel and Spin Theory The next evolution in theory saw the portrayal of chakras as funnels of energy vortexes spinning attached to the dots running down the front of the torso. We also learned this part of the chakra responded to color. Armed with all this information, we constructed the following representation. This is what many of think of today when you hear the words chakra system. The next progression in understanding chakras brought movement to the chakras. We realized that the funnel and dots had an inner sphere and an outer sphere. Both rotated clockwise as a general rule with the inner sphere going twice as fast as the outer sphere. 7
A chakra (both front side and rear sides) is comprised of an inner sphere and an outer sphere. Speed of Spin The chakras are, by definition, spinning vortexes. The inner sphere sets the pace for the outer sphere. The inner sphere should spin at approximately two times the rate of the outer sphere. It is also normal for the lower chakras spin slower than the upper chakras. Direction of Spin (the Great Debate) The correct answer is Clockwise normal, healthy BUT are so many exceptions to the rule, it can be difficult to know that healthy really looks like. 8
Here is a partial listing of some conditions in which one or more of the chakras will be spinning in reverse: - Puberty - Menopause - Menstruation - Amenorrhea - Deep spirituality - Grief - Serious illness - Injury - Some herbs - Some medicines - High stress (positive or negative) - Pregnancy So in practical terms, I advise my students that as long as the chakra spinning it is fine. 9
Shape The shape of a chakra should be even, round and tight with a regular steady spin. The size should be approximately one foot in diameter at outer point, which is usually about 18 inches from the client s body. A top heavy chakra shows someone with a more spiritual bent. A bottom heavy chakra shows someone with a more physical bent Evaluating Spin There are many methods of perceiving spin. Use whichever is most comfortable for you. If you are a seer, simply look at the subtle body of the client. Or maybe you d like you to use pendulum so that both you and your client can see what is going on. You may also sense the vortex with your hands as a buzz, heat or cold. You may hear a static or cracking in your ears. You may just know there is something there at a certain location. Use your intuition to determine the properties. There is no right or wrong way to sense, see, feel, or perceive the subtle body. On a quick overview, first glance, very simply: If the chakra is spinning too fast and possibly erratically, it shows a state of anxiety. If it is spinning too slowly, it shows a state of depression. 10
More detailed If the swing is round, even, clockwise, the chakra is healthy. If the swing is round, uneven, counter clockwise, the chaka is processing or clearing negative energy in attempt to attain balance. If the swing is uneven, and counter clockwise, the chakra is blocked and unable to clear itself. If the swing is in a vertical ellipse or straight line, it is overly spiritual so heavenly bound they re no earthly good. Typical traits would include the individual only seeing what s/he wants to see, or putting off doing things until it is of no avail by doing nothing, nothing can be his / her fault. 11
