Madeleine Caplette Mission Co-op 2017 On the weekend of July 8 th 9 th, Deacon John Brannen will be visiting from the Catholic Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky to raise awareness of and support for the mission work within his diocese. The Diocese of Lexington includes the Appalachian mountain region of Kentucky. Throughout the Diocese of Lexington and especially in Appalachia, many women and men work with those in need. This work would not be possible without the generous support of others through mission appeals. Deacon John will be preaching at all Masses and sharing the good news of our brothers and sisters in Christ from the Diocese of Lexington. A second collection will be taken up to support the mission activities there. Please be generous in your support of this important work being carried out in the name of Jesus Christ. This period continues until Advent. An excellent way to keep up with the scriptural readings during this time, is to go to Formed.org. OLC & SVDP Summer Bible School July 17 th 21 st 9am until noon each day in the school building at OLC. Children from both parishes are welcome to join us for an exciting week of games, crafts and snacks. This year students will have loads of fun while learning how God saves his people using water! Blessing Council #5273 wish to thank the parishioners of St. Vincent de Paul, Our Lady of Czenstochowa and all the churches we serve for their generosity during our recent KANDI (Knights Aiding intellectually Disabled Individuals) Drive during the months of May and June. The grand total collected for the drive was $2,100 of which 100% will go to Special Needs charities. This was the highest total ever collected by our council during a KANDI/Tootsie Roll Drive, and it couldn t have been done without the wonderful support of the parishioners. Thank you very much and God bless! The Offices of OLC and SVP will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, July 3rd and 4th in observance of Independence Day! We wish all parishioners a very happy and safe 4th of July holiday filled with family and friends. It s Summer Again and time for another trip to the Amusement Park with Father Jacek! Attention all children & teens: On Monday, August 14 th, 2017 Father Jacek will be going to Lake Compounce Amusement Park and he would like to invite you to come along. We will be leaving the SVP Church parking lot at 9am and returning at approximately 7pm. This year the cost of the trip will be $25.00. Anyone who would like to go is asked to sign up and fill out a permission slip. Sign-up sheet and permission slips are in the back of the church. This trip fills up fast and we have a limited number of seats on the bus so reserve your ticket early.

As a former missionary to Madagascar and current Director of Mission Development for the Congregation of Divine Providence, Kentucky. Sister will make an appeal in behalf of the Sisters of Divine Providence on the Island of Madagascar.
