Exodus 20:4-5, 4 You shall not make for yourself a carved image any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, (NKJV) b. This commandment deals specifically with our worship of God. c. God doesn t want our worship of Him attached to things of the earth or things made by man. d. When the child gets the ping pong ball in the cup, they draw a word. Once each child has gone once or all of the words are received, they will work together to put the power verse in order. We are the only creatures on the earth that can fellowship with God. d. We don t worship God in the flesh. e. There are many different ways to worship God in the Spirit. i. I have served you faithfully, and you will not abandon me to the world of the dead. 11 You will show me the path that leads to life; your presence fills me with joy and brings me pleasure forever. b.
