Operation Northern Comfort will be hosting SC59, a mission trip to Panama City, Florida from January 12-20, 2019. We are partnering with the Newman Center at SUNY-Binghamton and Operation Blessing. Panama City was hit hard by Hurricane Michael, and there will be a lot of cleanup work to do. We re looking for volunteers for this trip. The group will be leaving Saturday, January 12 from Central New York and arrive in Panama City on Sunday. We will be staying overnight Saturday at a church in Bristol, Virginia. The cost for the trip is $200, which covers round-trip transportation, lodging and meals in Panama City. The work will be strenuous but very rewarding. Space is limited. Volunteers should contact David Robinson, Operation Comfort Registrar at DRR1123@att.net. Norm Andrzejewski Operation Northern Comfort http://www.operationnc.org Page 6

King of Kings Quilt Group Happy New Year! As the toasts begin for a great new year, we turn the calendar page to discover that New Year s Day falls on the first Tuesday of the month. So, to enjoy your holiday, the Quilt Group will NOT be meeting in January. But, get ready for the new year as we go back to basics in February. This would be a great time for anyone who may be interested in learning to Quilt. We are going to cover the start to finish a small beginner project. But, not to worry, all of you who are more experienced...you will be challenged to make the same project in miniature! If you want to come to observe and not sew, that s okay. If you do not have the necessary tools yet, we will help you with ours. No sewing machine to bring? That s okay too.donna always has hers set up for anyone to use. KOK Quilt Group meets once a month, the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Sunday School wing. Contact Donna Huberty for more information or send your email to get on Donna s email list for the materials needed for any quilt group project. Happy New Year! See you February 5th, the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Page 7
