ORDER OF SERVICE PRELUDE / PERSONAL REFLECTION & PREPARATION LIGHTING OF THE ADVENT CANDLE This is the fourth Sunday in Advent. Today we light the three purple candles and the pink candle. On the first Sunday, we lit the candle of HOPE. On the second Sunday, we lit the candle of LOVE. On the third Sunday, we lit the candle of JOY. Today, we light the candle of PEACE. Our world is not always a peaceful world. People hurt other people. Countries are at war today. But God promises peace. During Advent, we pray that we, as well as all people, will seek God's peace. Pray to the Lord of the weather for His restraining hand to prevent any excessive flooding and landslides that could cause damages to properties and loss of lives. 2. Yemeni War Thank God for the United Nations brokered cease fire between the government forces and Iran-aligned Houthi rebels. The residents had confirmed that there had been no more fighting.
