Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya- Chitrakoot Eyexcel- Training program: AECS-LAICO Inauguration of Mahoba Vision Centre: 01 st July Under the aegis of the trust SNC has inaugurated a Vision Centre in Mahoba on 01 st July, 2012. This is the 2nd VC in district place of Uttar Pradesh in order to meet the demand generation pertaining to the eye care need of community at their doorsteps, the trust decided to go for it. The centre will serve the community for primary level eye care services by which patients of the area can take benefits by avoiding travel and exertion. The centre was inaugurated by Mr. H.S.Chandel, Retd. Executive Engineer, PWD in the presence of Sadguru team. SNC team comprising of Mr. Shailendra Chaturvedi and Mr.Vijay Singh attended Eyexcel training held at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai from 17 th July- 20 th July, 2012. The workshop was jointly coordinated and supported by Seva Foundation, USA. The theme of SNC team was to enhance the MLOP training programs. Training at a Glance Vision 2020 conference V2020 India AGBM was organized in AECS-LAICO from July 21-22, 2012. The conference was a congregation for all V2020 partners in the country. The focus of this conference was largely on learning and experience sharing. SNC team led by Dr. Jain shared the practices in leadership session and K. Anand Sudhan demonstrated the community eye care practices and information systems needs in operation theatre. Dr. Elesh Jain presented sterilization issues pertaining to OT. The other participants from SNC were Dr. A.B.S. Rajput, Mr. Subramanyam and Mr. Rishi Jain. Strabismus Update - 2012: 18th-19th August The workshop is been jointly organized by Dept. of Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya and Rewa Divisional Ophthalmic Society under the aegis of Vision 2020. The objective of the whole two day event is to get insights, generate ideas, through the innovative collaborations, that can used to explore practical approach to diagnosis of strabismus. Eye donation Fortnight : 25 th Aug 8 th Sep, 2012 Eye Donation Awareness fortnight was celebrated from 25th August 8th September, 2012 to increase awareness amongst community regarding importance of eye donation through veracity of activities that includes; awareness rally, eye donation campaign through outreach and vision centers, slogans, essay & painting competitions in Sadguru Schools.

Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya- Chitrakoot Seva Foundation-canada team observation visit: Seva-canada team comprising of Mr. Ken Basset, Program Director, Ms Penny Lyons, Executive Director, Seva Foundation-canada, Mr. Jack Blanks, Executive Director, Seva Foundation-USA, visited SNC on 11 th Sep, 2012. The purpose of the visit was for observation on SNC activities and Seva-IAPB project progress review. Seva partners meet (September 16, 2012) Seva foundation, USA conducted a partners meet in LVPEI, Hyderabad to review the progress of Mentoring activities of all global partners. The session was enriching and found to be a good learning experience for all participants. The meet concluded with concrete plans for the future. IAPB general assembly visit (September 17-20, 2012) SNC team comprising of Dr. B.K.Jain, Trustee and director, Dr. Elesh Jain, Administrator, Mr. K.Anand Sudhan, Head, Centre for Community Ophthalmology, Mr. D. Subramanyam, Mr. Shailendra Chaturvedi and Mr. Vijay Singh, Centre for Community Ophthalmology attended 9 th Assembly (9GA) of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) at Hyderabad from 17 th 20 th Sep, 2012. The assembly offered a fantastic opportunity to learn from each other, to plan for the future and to set priorities towards the elimination of avoidable blindness. Mr. Anand Sudhan presented a poster and presentation on Community Eye Care Programmes: The Engine for Change with Public Eye Health in Rural India. ISGEO, Hyderabad (September 21-22, 2012) SNC presented two papers in International Society for Geographical and Epidemiological Ophthalmology, Hyderabad. The papers were presented by Mr. K. Anand Sudhan, Head-Centre for community Ophthalmology on Community Eye Care Programs: The Engine for change with Public Eye Health in Rural India and Impact of vision centers on Utilization and access to eye care services. PMOA workshop: July-September 32nd, 33rd and 34th batch of Paramedical Ophthalmic Assistants (PMOAs) underwent 6 days refresher training program during April June months. Total 63 participants from Punjab, Bihar & Chhatisgarh participated in training programs. The main purpose of the training program is to orient the Government Paramedical ophthalmic assistants on skills pertaining to primary eye care delivery and expose them to recent advances in ophthalmology at primary, secondary and tertiary care level.

Jankikund Chikitsalaya- Chitrakoot 24 th Free Polio correction camp Jankikund Chikitsalaya organized 24th free polio correction camp between 30th June 05th July, 2012. A total of 628 patients registered their names on first day. Renowned Orthopedic surgeon Dr.H.K.Vakharia from Jamnagar, Gujarat performed 92 successful surgeries. Mahavir Viklang Seva Samiti, Kota, Rajasthan and Jankikund Chikitsalaya jointly organized the polio correction camp and distributed 263 Calipers in OPD. Calipers Distribution Program: 30 th August Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust has organized Post-surgical Caliper distribution camp on 30th August at Jankikund Chikitsalaya. The aim of the program was to provide Free Calipers to physically challenged persons (who underwent surgery), under ADIP scheme of Government of India (GOI) with the support of Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Rajasthan. The chief guest of the program was Smt. Doli Thakkar, Mumbai. 262 calipers were distributed on the occasion. Shree Raghuveer Mandir Trust- Chitrakoot Shree Gauri Vrat Mahotsav The trust organized 14th Shree Gauri Vrat Mahotsav from 02-06 July at Prarthana Bhavan Hall. On this occasion 150 girls participated in the Mahotsav. The Vrat came to an end with Ratri Jagran in which various cultural programs including Play, Solo dance and group dance were exhibited by the girls. Gurupurnima Mahotsav : 03 rd July In continuation to the traditional celebration of Gurupurnima Mahotsav, SSSST celebrated the Mahotsav with the same spirit in the presence of Gurubhai and Sant Samaj. Dr. B.K.Jain and Sadguru Family did Guru Pujan on the occasion and Mahotsav concluded with the Vishal Bhandara.

Shree Raghuveer Mandir Trust- Chitrakoot Jhoola Mahotsav: 02 nd August Jhoola Mahotsava was celebrated by Sadguru Parivar in Raghuveer Mandir campus. Various scenes depicting Lord Rama & Krishna s life were staged through Jhanki and Bhajan sandhya gave enormous addition in celebration of Mahotsav. The whole Mandir campus was decorated with lights and flowers. Shree Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav The biggest Hindu religious festivals Krishna Janmashtami 2012 was celebrated on 10 th August, 2012 with full zeal and devotion by Sadguru Parivar at the Mandir campus. There is one more ceremony for pleasure on the day is Dahi Handi. Dahi Handi is a quite naughtiness that is played by Govindas all over the world. In continuation to the tradition, Ophthalmic Assistants of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya crashed the Dahi Handi. Sadguru Shiksha Samiti- Chitrakoot Scholarship distribution Under the aegis of the trust the Shiksha Samiti organized Scholarship distribution program on 9 th July, 2012. The aim of the program was to encourage top 10 rankers who scored above 70% in their academic record and brilliant students will get free education, free books, and even free dress. The program was chaired by Shri N.B. Lohani (I.A.S., Trustee), Dr. B.K. Jain (director & Trustee) and Mrs. Usha Jain (chairman, sadguru siksha samiti). 59 students got scholarship on the occasion. Teacher s Day Celebration Since 1962, 5th September has been celebrated as Teacher's Day in India. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakhrishnan was a philosopher and a teacher par excellence. Sadguru Shiksha Samiti celebrated Teachers Day at Sadguru Auditorium. The program was celebrated between all the staff and students of educational institutions under Shiksha Samiti in the presence of Dr.B.K.Jain, Director and Trustee, Mrs.Usha Jain, President Sadguru Shiksha Samiti. 125 Teachers were honored by Dr. B.K.Jain on the day.

Trust activities- Chitrakoot A Musical concert Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust and Help-me-see (USA) has jointly organised a musical concert on 11 th August, 2012 at Shri Raghuveer Mandir Campus. The program was lightened up by a renowned Violinist (Grammy award winner for Titanic movie) Mr. Paul Peabody with coordination with local musicians Rajesh Ranjan, Lalluram, Ashish and Folk singer Veena Shrivastav. Dr. Jain, Director of the trust and Mr. Venkatraman, Director HMS, on the occasion said that the trust and HMS are committed towards eradication of blindness and dedicated for helping the blind people in this region. 65 th Independence Day Celebration 65th Independence Day was celebrated in Vidyadham School Campus. Dr. B.K.Jain hoisted the flag and took the salute of the march past. The celebration was followed with various sports and cultural programs performed by the students of Sadguru Institute of computer science, Sadguru Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Sadguru Public school and Vidyadham School. Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya- Anandpur Inauguration of vision centre The trust has inaugurated a new Vision center on 30th September with successful community participation at Vidisha.The centre was inaugurated by Mr. Anand Sharma, Collector, Vidisha. 150 patients were screened on the occasion. Visitors from eye bank A team from M.K. International Eye Bank, Indore visited Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya in the month of July. Team consists of Mr. S.K. Jhawar, Chairman Mrs. Uma Jhawar, Executive Director and Mr. Sanjay Gupta.

Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya- Anandpur Visitors from GAIL Mr. R.D.Goyal, Project Director, Gail India Private Limited visited the SSNC, Anandpur. He appreciated the work done by the trust in the field of healthcare and rural development program. School screening camps From the month of July to September, 11 school screening camps were organized at different places of Dist. Guna and Vidisha in various schools. Around 3000 children were screened in the program. Children with refractive error were provided with free spectacles and those required surgical interventions were referred to the base hospital. Sadguru Sankalp Chikitsalaya- Anandpur General surgery camp Sadguru Sankalp Chikitsalaya has organized free surgical camp from 29-31st of March 2012. Surgeries were done by Dr. Sanjay shah from Rajkot. The purpose of the camp was to serve poor and needy people of the community who cannot afford the surgical cost. More than 40 patients were undergone different kind of general surgeries.

Trust activities - Anandpur Award ceremony Teachers from Smt. Sushilaben arvind bhai Mafatlal School were awarded for their performance. The award was given by the Chaiman of the trust, Shri vishad Bhai Mafatlal. Similarly, students from each class were also been awarded on the merit basis by Vishad bhai on 3rd July 2012. Gurupurnima Mahotsav Guru Poonam was celebrated on 3rd July 2012. A special Pooja was performed by Shri Vishad Bhai at Gurumani,shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir. Along with the staff members, Gurubhais from different places also participated in Pooja Independence Day celebration The 64th Independence day was celebrated at the trust on 15th Aug, 2012.The main function was organized at Smt. Susheelabaen Arvindbhai Mafatlal H. Sec. School. The flag Hoisting was done by Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra.Various cultural programs were organized on the occasion by the school children Jaya parvati vrat Jaya parvati vrat program was carried out at the Prathana Bhavan Sadguru Nagar. Many girls participated in the vrat and pledge to continue the vrat for 5 years. On the last day of the vrat a special puja was performed. Respected chairman Shri Vishadbhai Mafatlal was the chief guest for the occasion
