Changing Ordinary time into extraordinary time! Every Summer I could not wait - as soon as school was over I went to live on our boat at the yacht club in City Island. My summers were a time of almost complete freedom. My parents came each week end, but even then they were busy with their friends as I was with mine. How often when we look back at our childhood summers we remember them as extraordinary times in our life. Servers, & Celebrations... p. 2 90th Anniversary date.. p. 2 Memorial s... p. 3 Altar Flowers..... p. 3 BUNCO Night....... p. 4 Summer Tips p. 4 Pentecost & Confirmation pics p. 5 Synod Youth Min... p. 6 June Calendar.. p. 7 Food Pantry... p. 8 The Roman Church calls this time on the Church calendar "ordinary time "yet we all know it can be an extraordinary time. It is all a matter of what we fill our days with: joy and happiness as it was in childhood or sadness and concern as we so often fret over our future. As a child your days were without care; you did not think of what tomorrow might bring, you simply hoped for sunshine and adventure. That is how God intended it to be. We were created not to live ordinary lives, but extraordinary lives without fear. To trust that God, who makes the sun to rise, provides for our needs each and every day of our lives. Childhood is but a short span of years; as we grown older a life time seems only a little longer. Enjoy the days God has given you, they can truly be extraordinary if we trust in God's provision for everything that we need in them. Rev. James McKinley NEW OFFICE HOURS Tuesday ~ Thursday 8:00AM to 12 Noon CLOSED: Mondays & Fridays

There is a sign-up board in the Narthex where you can select a date for the flowers to be placed. All you need to do is fill out a form with your name on the Donor line and complete the rest of the form and place it in the secretaries mail box with the appropriate payment. The forms are in an envelope on the same board as the flower chart. Please give at least 2 weeks notice so the secretary can have the flowers ordered in time. Below is a sample of what the form looks like.

Volume 6 Page 4 A Time for Everything Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 NIV Vs. 1 ~ There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: Vs. 2~ a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, Vs. 3 ~ a time to kill and time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, Vs.4 ~ a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, Vs. 5 ~ a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, Vs. 6~ a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and time to throw away, Vs. 7 ~ a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, Vs. 8 ~ a time to love and time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. Bunco Night is Back! Cindy Camp is starting Bunco night back up on June 24th starting at 7:30 PM It will be on the 4th Friday of the month, providing there are enough people attending. Don t let not knowing how to play STOP you, they will be more than happy to teach you! Please let Cindy know if you are attending: Cell # 732-961-7643 Summer tips: Donation Please do not forget your donations during the summer months. An easy way to do that, if you bank on line, is register the church as a bill and use your envelope number as an account number. Indicate when you would like it mailed, whether weekly or monthly include 20 Monterey Circle Lakewood NJ as the address and the bank will mail the donations accordingly. You never have to worry about envelopes and writing out checks again. If you do not bank on line make the donations for the month that you will be away and send it to the church. Remember the church goes on and needs your donations whether you are here or not. We need every "church family" member. to allow Immanuel to continue. This year we will be celebrating our 90th anniversary. With the Good Lord's help and our membership we hope to spread the "good news" for 90 more. Attendance: You attendance in church is important not only to the church but to you and the family. Summer is especially hard for some, the kids are out of school, nobody wants to get up early, and Sunday may be the perfect beach Day. If Sunday is hard in the summer, try our Saturday Evening at 5:30p.m It is only 30minutes and you can share the service experience with the kids.
