the SKEPTICS STRUGGLE... a WORLD without GOD

The ARGUMENT A good God would want to eliminate evil and suffering.

The ARGUMENT A good God would want to eliminate evil and suffering. An all-powerful God would be able to eliminate evil and suffering.

The ARGUMENT A good God would want to eliminate evil and suffering. An all-powerful God would be able to eliminate evil and suffering. Yet evil and suffering exist.

The CONCLUSION God is willing to eliminate evil and suffering but is not able, so He is impotent and not all-powerful.

The CONCLUSION God is willing to eliminate evil and suffering but is not able, so He is impotent and not all-powerful. God is able to eliminate evil and suffering, but not willing, so He is not good.

The CONCLUSION God is willing to eliminate evil and suffering but is not able, so He is impotent and not all-powerful. God is able to eliminate evil and suffering, but not willing, so He is not good. Therefore, an all-powerful and good God does not exist!

there is no justice Without GOD...

"And I saw something else under the sun: In the place of judgment wickedness was there, in the place of justice wickedness was there." ECCLESIASTES 3:16

"I said to myself, 'God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.'" ECCLESIASTES 3:17

"For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead." ACTS 17:31

Without GOD... there is no justice there is no future

"All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return." ECCLESIASTES 3:20

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'" JOHN 11:25-26

Without GOD... there is no justice there is no future there is no significance to human life

"I also said to myself, 'As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals.'" ECCLESIASTES 3:18

"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'" GENESIS 1:26

Without GOD... there is no justice there is no future there is no significance to human life

Why does God allow evil and suffering?

Why does God allow evil and suffering? God has a morally adequate, but not yet fully revealed, reason for allowing evil and suffering

"For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." I CORINTHIANS 13:12

"Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?" GENESIS 18:25c

"Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you." PSALM 89:14

Why does God allow evil and suffering? God's sovereignty and glory will be displayed by His ultimate destruction of evil

"Then I saw 'a new heaven and a new earth,' for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, 'Look! God s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. He who was seated on the throne said, 'I am making everything new! Then he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'" REVELATION 21:1-5

Why does God allow evil and suffering? God allows evil and suffering because of the greater good that results from it
