About Religion The original religion of Mongolia is Shamanism, which originated during primitive ages when people had no resources to cope with natural disasters. Today 60% of the population believe in Buddhism. Since the 16th century, Mongolians have followed the Gelukpa tradition of Tibetian Buddhism. The Mongolian perceptions, psychology, traditions, thinking and world outlook were enriched by the Buddhist philosophy and world view. The Meditation is basic value of the Buddhism and Buddhist monks presented as like sacred chant. Islam is practiced by the Kazakhs, a minority group living in the western part of Mongolia. Christianity also spread since 1990. There is no conflict between the different religious groups, due to Mongolian peaceful character and respect for other s beliefs and opinions.

In all camps will be placed in GERS Ger-Home The Ger is the traditional transportable home of the nomads. The Ger has been perfectly adapted over centuries to help Mongolians survive comfortably in the frigid cold of up to 60F below zero. It is warm, windproof and can be set up or taken down in an hour. Travelers to Mongolia will have the opportunity to sleep in traditional gers while staying at ger camps.
