ISSUE 198 December 2018 WRITE TO EDITOR CONTENTS FEATURE>TO MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS. CHURCH NEWS>PIONEERING AREAS IN EASTERN HEMISPHERE.. CHURCH NEWS>UPDATE ON THE HOLY WORK IN JAPAN IN 2018... INTERCESSION. ONE DOLLAR ONE SOUL..... Feature To Make Disciples of All Nations After the Lord Jesus had resurrected, He appeared to His disciples over a span of forty days, preaching the gospel of the heavenly kingdom in order to prepare them a heart to not fear suffering. However, prior to His ascension, some still doubted; He told His disciples directly: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations..teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Mt 28:18-20). Since then, all disciples of the Lord carry this commission until He comes again to make disciples of all nations. According to the Lord s instruction, the disciples set the goal to preach the gospel from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. By relying on the power of the Holy Spirit, they established churches and trained believers to become gospel soldiers through the lifestyle of fellowship. The Lord also selects His prepared vessels at the appropriate times, enabling them to become messengers of spreading the gospel to the ends of the earth. In the short decades after the Lord s ascension, through the guided path led by the Holy Spirit, the Lord s teachings spread widely throughout the Roman Empire. Paul also set his heart to journey toward Spain the known ends of the earth during his time (Rom 15:17-24). The Lord s entrustment was fulfilled during the time of the apostles so that many lives were renewed. They conduct was fitting to

the gospel of Christ; they bore fruits of righteousness and all honor, glory, and praise were given to God (Phil 1:11, 27). True Jesus Church arose from the East, according to God s will, for the sake of reviving the Apostolic church and once again re-establishing God s fallen tabernacle. The commission our Lord has entrusted to us is to preach the complete truth of salvation to the ends of the earth. That through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, those who hear and are willing to believe may be justified and sanctified through the washing of rebirth and renewal of the Holy Spirit and become God s heir through the hope of eternal life. However, what a daunting task is it to make disciples of all nations in the end time? Let us learn from the way our Lord trained His disciples in order to accomplish this daunting commission: 1. To Call and Recruit Full Time Workers When Lord Jesus first came out to preach, He called His disciples to follow Him, promising them to become fishers of men and apostles to save souls (Mt 4:19). When He saw the multitudes, who were weary and scattered, He had compassion on them and said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest (Mt 9:36-38). Today, in order for the gospel to spread throughout the world, we need the dedication of full time workers to be sent to various regions in developing holy work. However one of the common challenges all True Jesus Churches face is the lack of full time ministers. All the churches as a whole need to pray for the recruitment of TTP students, asking our Lord to send His workers bravely into the ends of the earth to collect His spiritual harvest. 2. Deepen the Teaching of the Truth and Know the Mystery of the Kingdom of God Lord Jesus lived and preached together with His disciples, many times speaking only to them teachings of the heavenly kingdom, explaining to them His status, commission and the way to fulfill salvation, gradually enabling them to understand (Mt 5:17; 12:40), and also teaching them mysteries of the heavenly kingdom (Mt 13:11). Their understanding toward the Lord was only complete after receiving the promised Holy Spirit, thus completing the theme of the gospel Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Today, the true church must reinforce the deepening study of the truth in its workers, to fortify the foundation of our faith in order strengthen the faith of the members. Faith is the foundation to all servitude, and the firmer we are in the truth, the greater our faith will be. Only if the members have the teachings of the truth will they have a sense of commission. When they have the sense of commission, then will they

have the motivation to serve. And with motivation they will be able to fulfill the Lord s great commission through the Holy Spirit. 3. Strengthen Prayer, Be Filled by the Holy Spirit, Live Out the Life of Christ The Lord Jesus called His apostles in the format of a Master-Apprentice way of training (Mk 3:13-15). He brought them to live and work together, showing them clearly the most simple way He lived on the earth, also teaching that the way to receive power is to pray unceasingly to the Heavenly Father (Lk 9:18, 28). The apostles also witnessed the abundant spiritual life of the Lord, how He steadfastly completed the will of the Heavenly Father. The Lord Jesus way to train His disciples through a life of prayer served as the secret for the apostles to persevere and endure through the sufferings they would face. Those around had all witnessed the different life emitted by those belonging to Christ (Acts 16:25). The True Church has been able to preach the gospel to nearly 60 countries all due to the power of the Holy Spirit and the spiritual life the members have lived out. Today, if we the members of the True Church as a whole especially as the Lord s servants can put in efforts in prayer, pursuing the fullness of the Holy Spirit (Eph 5:18), bearing spiritual fruits, and becoming wonderful testimonies, then we will soon be able to fulfill the Lord s entrustment to make disciples of all nations. TOP Church News Pioneering Areas in Eastern Hemisphere Joshua Phoong All praises be given unto God for His guidance in the pioneering work in the Eastern Hemisphere. Despite some difficulties and setbacks that we face, we are able to see the direction and guidance of God. It was He who opens the door for the Word. Below are some of the latest developments in these new pioneering areas. Bangladesh Time and again we have new contacts writing to us from areas where the gospel is yet to be preached. Many of whom came to know us through the internet. We will correspond with them through the internet and when the time is suitable, we will visit these areas.

Recently, a contact from Bangladesh wrote to us. Bangladesh has a population of about 170 million. 90.5% of the population are Muslim, 8.5% are Hindus, 0.6% Buddhist and 0.4% Christians. This contact came from a Hindu majority village. From the internet, he found that our teachings are in accordance to the Bible. Through our correspondence & explanation on the truth, he accepted and started practicing the truth in their small congregation. We then decided to visit them. Bangladesh Evangelism at Outdoor

This congregation is in a Hindu village. They were introduced to Jesus through the activities of a Christian group. However the activities of the group do not include the setting up of church. After knowing Christ this group worshipped the Lord themselves. They were the only group believing in Jesus in this predominantly Hindu village. They were ridiculed & persecuted. Their children have to leave the village to study in mission schools in the city. There they are exposed to different practices. They brought these practices back to the village. They began to read the Bible and found that the other denominations are not following the truth. It is then that one of them searched the internet to know what the other denominations practices. Through their desire for the truth, they manage to find out about the True Jesus Church. Bangladesh Evangelism in Rest House Bangladesh Truth Seeking Friends Pioneering work here face many challenges. Hinduism is a minority religion here, and they face much persecution from the Muslims. The other Hindu majority areas show reluctance to change. They show great resistance to what they consider as outside influence to their culture and religion. We find this small congregation here sincere in searching for the truth. Please pray for them that the Lord will open their hearts to the truth. Laos Laos is a communist country with a population of about 7 million. 64.7% of the population are Buddhist, 31.4% are Lao Folk religion and 1.7% Christians. A member of our church has several business contacts there and brought our retired preacher to pioneer into this country. We have made a few trips there, sharing the gospel with some of these contacts. Cambodia Although we have members moving to Cambodia in the mid 90 s, it is only after 2005 that active evangelism is carried out in Cambodia. Through the guidance of God, the evangelical

work here moved from the city of Phnom Penh to the villages in the rural area. Today we have about 300 members in Cambodia. Pastoral work is carried out with a few workers. In order to strengthen the divine work in Cambodia, the work in Cambodia is allocated to the care of Taiwan GA. In 2019, we will see active participation of Taiwan GA in the divine work in Cambodia. A preacher will be stationed there. A well-structured plan will be put in place to develop the church there. Pacific Island In the Pacific Island region, we have members in Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, and Papua New Guinea. In Fiji, we started the divine work here by preaching to the local indigenous and Indian people. We have two congregations of local members here. Later, we have China members arriving here to do business. Now we have two Chinese members congregation located in two areas. In Tonga, Samoa, and Papua New Guinea, all our members are Chinese who have migrated here for a better livelihood. Our main work in these islands is to pastor our Chinese members. To be more effective in pastoring the Chinese members in these Islands, we have enlisted the assistance of the preachers from East Asia. This year we have a China preacher assisting in the Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa. We hope to have continued support from ministers in China in our divine work here.
