ORDER of the ARROW Annual Report 2017 nanuk lodge Great Alaska Council Boy Scouts of America

Order of the Arrow Nanuk lodge Great Alaska Council Boy Scouts of America My brothers, Lodge Chief Samuel Giacalone Lodge Adviser Benjamin Ormsby Lodge Staff Adviser Clifford Crismore Council Executive Luke Dossett Vice-Chief Adam Ward Adviser Steven Meyer Secretary Vacant Adviser Benjamin Talotta Treasurer Adviser On behalf of our Lodge Executive Committee it is my pleasure to present the 2017 Nanuk Lodge Annual Report. This book is full of our program successes and accomplishments as a Lodge. It also includes the exceptional work of individual Arrowmen and what they have done for our Lodge and Council over the last year. As Scouting s National Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow works to recognize those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and law in their daily lives and through that recognition cause others to conduct themselves in a way that warrants similar recognition. We also promote the values of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness, and Service. Our program accepts new members, elected by their fellow scouts, four times a year. We take-in potential leaders and teach them the necessary skills to be the leaders of the future, in both Scouting and our Society as a whole. In this book you will find the achievements of many of the Arrowmen that answered their call to serve and in doing so achieved great things for themselves and our programs. As a Lodge we have given just over 3000 manhours to our camps, Council programs, and Scouting. Without the wonderful and selfless leaders and Arrowmen, mentioned in this report, none of these accomplishments would have been possible. This lodge is full of future leaders, who may seem like ordinary Scouts, but have worked hard and made the achievements in 2017 possible. These are the people who strive to make a positive impact on the lives of others and make a difference in the world. As you look though this book please join me in congratulating these individuals and giving them the recognition they deserve. Thank you all for everything that you do for Scouting and the Order. You are the ones that made it all happen. In Service, Lodge Chief 1 Great Alaska Council, Boy Scouts of America
