Children s Ministry: Sharing The Light of Advent! What a joy and privilege it is to open our church doors to family, friends, neighbors and the community sharing the 'LIGHT" that we have come to know, so others may come to know. Our Christmas Eve Live Nativity was attended by over 200 people! Gathering with the Holy family outside in the setting of the sun, surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of nature, the cries of the infant lying in the manger, lifting the candle flames high, singing Silent Night by young and old in celebration of the birth of our Savior, perhaps giving hope to those living in the darkness and sadness. Big thanks to Vicar Alex and all who served with hearts, hands, voices AND scoops! Now may we join with the shepherds and make it known to all what we have seen and heard. Let our light shine before others...all around the neighborhood, I'm going to let it shine. Go tell it on the mountain. Over the hills and everywhere, that Jesus Christ is born! Christmas Blessings, Belinda Bost, Children's Minister Kids In Worship! 12 Days of Christmas. Christmas is not over! We celebrate the 12 days of the Christmas season leading up to Epiphany and the visit from the Magi. Look at the Chrismons hanging from the trees. Chrismons are made in white and gold. White refers to our Lord s pure and perfect being. Gold symbolizes his majesty and glory. The green trees symbolize the eternal life which our Savior won for us on the cross. The trees point to heaven. Tiny white lights remind us of Him who is the Light of the world. The Chrismon Tree originated in Ascension Lutheran church, Danville, Virginia in 1957. There is a Crown on each tree. Here is a hint, look down low on each tree to find it. Feel free to take a closer look at the beautiful Chrismon Trees after the worship service. Belinda Bost, Children s Minister
