Those who are able are invited to stand. PRELUDE Love Devine, All Loves Excelling Donald Moore LIFE OF THE CONGREGATION Moment of silence to prepare your hearts for worship SONG OF DEVOTION (hymnal & screen) (please remain seated) #20 Let There Be Glory and Honor and Praises LET US WORSHIP GOD TOGETHER CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 105:1-4) Leader: Give praise to the Lord, proclaim His Name; make known among the nations what He has done. People: Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. Leader: Glory in His Holy Name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. People: Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always. INVOCATION Leader: God Almighty, cleanse us with Your spirit and guide us in Your ways so that our lives might consistently give You honor and glory. Drive the evil one from our lives and fill us with Your might power. In Jesus name we pray. Amen SONGS OF PRAISE (hymnal & screen) #184 Thy Word Speak, O Lord CALL TO CONFESSION (2 Chronicles 30:6b-9) Leader: People of Israel, return to the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, that He may return to you who are left, who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria. Do not be like your parents and your fellow Israelites, who were unfaithful to the Lord, the God of their ancestors, so that He made them an object of horror, as you see. Do not be stiff-necked, as your ancestors were; submit to the Lord. Come to His sanctuary, which He has consecrated forever. Serve the Lord your God, so that His fierce anger will turn away from you. If you return to the Lord, then your fellow Israelites and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will return to this land, for the

Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn His face from you if you return to Him. Do not be stiff-necked and cling to our pride, but in humility let us confess our sin in silent prayer so that we might receive the grace offered us in Jesus Christ. Let us pray. SILENT PRAYER PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: Lord, forgive us for our stubborn attitudes and our clinging to our sinful ways. We are blinded by our selfishness and unable to see what You would have us do and be. Set us free to love and serve You. Help us to witness to Your glory through our humility and submission to Your Word. In Jesus name we pray. Amen ASSURANCE OF PARDON (Proverbs 3:5-6) Leader: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Sisters and brothers in Christ, believe the good news: through faith in Christ we are forgiven. AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed Unison: I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
