Governor Paul C Lafleur pmberlin@ne.rr.com PRESIDENT PODIUM: With the absence of President Roland who is taking in a bit of sun in the sunshine state Presidentelect Francie V. took over the reins for this week meeting. Janet R. led us off with the pledge, prayer from Paul F. and song from Bob L. This week we had guest Bill Thomas husband of Kiwanian Yvonne. Fine collector for the evening was Ashley L. COMMITTEES: Bob P. spoke on the Special Olympics party and thanked all members and mentioned that we had 7 K Kids and 4 Key Clubs members. And a good time was had by all that attended. A special thanks to Diane B. for working the kitchen. (See related photos.) Priscilla C. reported that we made $491 for the roundup. Thanks to all that participated. (See related photos) Glenn T. reported that the Key Club mentioned that Miss Hyde may not be able to be the key club advisor next year as she has been assigned to the year book staff also which would make it difficult for her to handle both positions. Glenn T., will try to see if she can still stay on. He will keep us posted. He also mentioned that several of the key clubbers will be graduating this year. Glenn T., mentioned that the Superbowl raffle is coming up shortly and he will place everything together it s a great fund raiser. He will keep us posted. Yvonne T. reported that the K-kids were happy to be able to participate in the Special Olympics Party and had a great time. Next meeting for the K-kids will be on the first Monday in January. Francie V. mentioned that we will have an attendance contest and should be starting at the end of January. Sec. Paul L. thanked everyone for their work and attendance

OTHER HAPPENINGS: Happy dollars for the evening were from Bob L., Henry B., Janet R., Ashley L., Glenn T., and Jerry D. Fines are always in order and Bob L. tried to fine President-elect Francie for interrupting Bob L. powerful conversation to start the meeting. Not Passed. Robert Pelchat, Susan Goupil Jennifer Arenburg SECRETARY: Pop tabs are being collected for the K-kids, turn them in to Yvonne T. There will be no club meeting on December 27th. With the many activities that our Club has had, our last official meeting was November 22nd. The following is what we have been up to as a Club since that time. Dan Blais, Bethany Poulin, Mike Bump, Robert Labnon Key Club Meeting: On each Wednesday at 2:15 pm at Berlin High School in room 502 PARADE OF LIGHTS Our annual Parade of Lights took place on Friday November 25th. Although it was a cool day, It was a great day to set up the float and to walk in the parade. As always our Kiwanis Club bring in Santa and Mrs. Claus every year on our 48 foot float, And, our Club is also an official sponsor of the Parade of Lights. A special thanks to Caron Building for the use of their yard and also letting us store all of our float material in their building. To Tracy Robinson for providing his Tractor trailer for hauling the float. To Scott Valliere for use of his PA system. To member Paul F. for the use of his generator. To all the members that came and worked on the float in the morning, participated in the parade and returned on Saturday for take down of the float. I thank you all. All members please thank K-Kids Meeting: Meet on the 1st & 3rd Monday of each month at the Harvest Church on Willow Street at 6PM. Check with Yvonne Thomas for more information on the K-Kids.

This is our annual fund raiser for Camp Sawyer. It was a great turnout of members and guest with great raffle prizes. A special thanks to Janet R. for organizing the event and to all that brought in prizes for the raffle. Thanks to Lt. Gov. Lindy and photographer Sarah from the Colebrook club for attending. Paris France July 13-16, 2017

SPECIAL OLYMPICS With the Christmas season well on its course what better way then to begin our celebration with our annual Special Olympics Party. Chairman Bob P. placed the pieces together with the membership participating in serving the 95 attendees. A great chicken dinner with all the fixings prepared by Leslie, music by Glenn T. Songs by the K-Kids and Key club along with the famous voices of Bob L. and Paul F. with the annual singing contest of Bob L and Paul F. as Paul F. was definitely the favorite among the Olympians. And let us not forget the visit from the North Pole of Santa and Mrs. Claus. More photos on the Club website.
