54. O you believe! Whoever among you turns back his religion, then soon will bring a people m He loves and will love Him, humble towards the believers and stern towards the disbelievers; striving in the way of and fearing the blame of a critic. That is the Grace of ; He grants to m He wills. And is All- Encompassing, All- Knowing. 55. Your ally is none but and His Messenger and and establish prayer and give zakah and bow down. 56. And ever takes as an ally and His Messenger and those then indeed the party of - they are the victorious. 57. O you believe! Do take allies those take your religion in ridicule and fun among were given the Book and the disbelievers. And be conscious of, if you are believers. 58. And when you make a call for prayer, they take it in ridicule and fun. That is because they are a people do understand. 59. Ò - ¾ Ÿ m Ç 158 Ó - U yo among you m He loves turns back the disbelievers; (of) a critic. And (is) the prayer And ever then indeed. believe! (as) allies. Ò - ¾ Ÿ m Ç 159 Ó - U yo 'O People of the Book! Do you resent us except (for the fact) that we believe in and has been revealed to us and was revealed before us and that most of you are defiantly disobedient. 60. 'Shall I inform you of something worse than that as recompense? Those m has cursed and He became angry with them, and He made some of them apes and swines and worshipped the false deities. Those are worse in position and farthest astray the even (i.e., right) way.' 61. And when they come, they say, 'We believe.' But certainly they entered with disbelief and they certainly went out with it. And knows best of they were hiding. 62. And you see of them hastening into sin and transgression and devouring ( is) forbidden. Surely, evil is they have been doing. 63. Why do the rabbis and the religious scholars forbid them saying is sinful and devouring is forbidden? Surely, evil is they used to do. 64. And the Jews said, 'The Hand of is chained.' Their hands are chained and they have been cursed for they say. Nay, we believe that except [of] us before us, I inform you was revealed you resent Do (of) the Book! 'O People and to us and in 'Shall 59 (are) defiantly disobedient. most of you and that has cursed Whom? (as) recompense that than (of) worse and [the] swines, [the] apes of them and made with him and He became angry (in) position (are) worse Those the false deities. and () worshipped they come And when 60 way.' (the) even and farthest astray certainly and they with disbelief they entered But certainly 'We believe.' they say, 61 hiding. they were of knows best And with it. went out and [the] transgression [the] sin into hastening of them And you see 62 doing. they have been (is) Surely evil the forbidden. and eating and the religious scholars the Rabbis (is) Surely, evil (of) the forbidden? and their eating (is) chained.' His Hands are stretched out, He bestows as He wills. And that which to you your Lord will surely increase of them in rebellion and disbelief. And We have cast among them enmity and hatred till the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war, extinguished it. And they strive in the earth spreading corruption. And does love the corrupters. till Ò - ¾ Ÿ m Ç 160 Ó - U yo (in) rebellion And surely increase and [the] hatred of [the] war, And your Lord, He wills. [the] enmity (the) fire spreading corruption. they kindled how among them the earth He spends Every time in And We have cast (are) stretched out (of) the Resurrection. And they strive His Hands of them, and disbelief. (the) Day extinguished it. 65. only the People of the Book had believed and feared, surely We would have removed them their evils deeds and would have admitted them to Gardens of Bliss. 66. only they had stood fast by the Taurat and the Injeel and was revealed their Lord, surely they would have consumed (provision) above them and beneath their feet. Among them is a moderate community, but evil is they do. 67. O Messenger! Convey has been revealed your Lord, and if you do, then you have conveyed His Message. And will protect you the people. Indeed, does the People that surely We (would have) removed [to] Gardens and the Injeel 64 and feared (), and surely We (would have) admitted them (by) the Taurat surely they (would have) eaten (is) a community 66 they do. His Message. (does) had stood fast Among them (is) their Lord, their feet. evil you (have) conveyed Indeed, the corrupters. that they beneath then the people. guide the disbelieving people. 68. O People of the Book! You are on anything until you stand fast by the Taurat and the Injeel, and to you your Lord. And that which has been revealed your Lord will surely increase of them in rebellion and disbelief. So do grieve over the disbelieving people. 69. Indeed, believed and are Jews and the Sabians and the Christians, ever believed in and the Last Day and did good deeds, then on them will be no fear, nor will they grieve. 70. Surely We took a Covenant of the Children of Israel and sent Messengers. Whenever any Messenger came to them with their souls did desire, some (of the Messengers) they denied and some of them they killed. 71. And they thought there would be no trail for them, so they became blind and deaf. Then turned to them (in forgiveness), then (again) of them became blind and deaf. And Ò - ¾ Ÿ m Ç 161 Ó - U yo You are and of them, (of) the Book! and disbelief. ever fear We took with and the Injeel 'O People And surely increase (in) rebellion Indeed, and the Christians, then no they denied that 68 good deeds, Certainly and We sent and they became deaf. they became blind And (by) the Taurat your Lord, your Lord. 67 you stand fast the disbelieving people. and the Sabians any Messenger a group And they thought then (again) and did 69 (of) Israel came their souls, 70 so they became blind of them. the disbelieving people. became Jews and the Last Day will grieve. until anything guide on over they grieve and (of the) Children Whenever desired they kill. a trial, turned in and So (do) believed believed on them a Covenant Messengers. and a group will be (for them) Then and they became deaf, Surah 5: The Table spread (v. 68-71) Part - 6
Ò - ¾ Ÿ m Ç 162 Ó - U yo of they do. 72. They surely disbelieve say, 'Indeed, is Messiah, the son of Maryam' while the Messiah said, 'O Children of Israel! Worship, my Lord and your Lord.' Indeed, he associates partners with - then surely has forbidden him Paradise, and his abode is the Fire. And there are no helpers for the wrongdoers. 73. Certainly they have, say, 'Indeed, is the third of the three.' And there is no god except One God. they do desist they are saying, a painful punishment will surely afflict disbelieve among them. 74. So will they repent to and seek His forgiveness? And is Oft- Forgiving, Most Merciful. 75. The Messiah, son of Maryam, Certainly He the Messiah, my Lord with, and his abode helpers. say, And (there is) no - surely will afflict painful. Most Merciful. (of) Maryam 71 While said 'Indeed Worship associates partners Paradise (are) any they do. say, of Maryam.' (of) three.' (the) One God. a punishment to they are saying (is) Oft-Forgiving, son for him of son (of) Israel! for the wrong doers Indeed, he (has) forbidden (is the) third except among them, they repent And And Certainly (is) the Messiah god So will (is) All-Seer (is) the Messiah, 'O Children and your Lord.' they desist then surely (is) the Fire. 72 'Indeed [any] 73 and seek His forgiveness? was but a Messenger, certainly Messengers had passed away before him. And his mother was truthful. They both used to eat food. See how We make clear the Signs; then see how they are deluded. 'Do you worship besides that which has no power either to harm you or benefit you while it is Who is the All- Hearing, the All- Knowing? 77. 'O People of the Book! Do exceed in your religion beyond the truth and do follow the vain desires of a people had gone astray before and misled, and they have strayed the right way. 78. Those the Children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of Dawood and Isa, son of Maryam, because they disobeyed and they used to transgress. they are deluded. and the All-Knowing? (Do) and (do) besides went astray (the) tongue that (was) 78 any harm how see 'Do you worship to (cause) you (is) the All-Hearing, of the Book! the truth, certainly and they have strayed Were cursed by (of) Maryam, transgressing. beyond then has power He 'O People (of) a people, 77 (of) Israel son and they were your religion while, vain desires and they misled [the] way. 79. They did forbid each other any wrongdoing they did. Surely, evil was they were doing. Ò - ¾ Ÿ m Ç 164 Ó - U yo wrongdoing forbidding each other They had been doing. they were (was) Surely, evil they did [it]. 80. You see of them taking as allies those. Surely evil is they have sent forth for themselves (with the result) that became angry with them, and in the punishment they will abide forever. 81. they had believed in and the Prophet and to him, they would have taken them as allies; but of them are defiantly disobedient. 82. Surely, you will find most intense of the people in enmity towards the believers the Jews and those associate partners with ; and surely you will find nearest of them in affection to believers say, 'We are Christians.' That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are arrogant. taking as allies for them and in and (as) allies; 81 (in) enmity sent forth of them with them 80 (is) and the Prophet Surely evil became angry (will) abide forever. they (would have) taken them (are) polytheists; to (are) defiantly disobedient. (are) Christians.' and monks, 82 (of) the people and (in) affection 'We (are) priests arrogant. in most intense say, the Jews. of them nearest of them among them (are) they You see that believed to him, 79 their souls, the punishment they had Surely you will find because [and] but to and surely you will find That (is) and that they Surah 5: The Table spread (v. 80-82) Part - 6
