For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Merry Christmas
Dear Friend of Children: The Christmas season truly is my favorite time of the year. With no snow on the ground in Florida, there is nothing better than being surrounded by children to get in the spirit, and we are thankful that we have plenty of them on campus. My seven year old son Ryan (pictured here), and I are blessed by this opportunity to share in some very special moments with the children served by this ministry. In some cases, these special moments carry over to our personal family time. Recently, Ryan s Sunday School teacher told me that in a Sunday School class lesson they were talking about gifts that were brought to Jesus and the children named Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. The teacher asked Ryan what he would have brought to Jesus, and he asked her if she knew which football team was Jesus favorite. When she asked him why, Ryan remarked that Jesus would love the black and gold of a New Orleans Saints jersey. The innocence of a child is at the heart of the Christmas season. In this Christmas Card, we are sharing with you some gift ideas that would bring great happiness to our children at Christmas and throughout the year. This includes individual and group activities, a special outfit and a gift card so each child in our care can have an outing to a local store or mall to purchase exactly what they would like. When you choose one of the enclosed gifts, you can literally change a child s life! During this season of hope, as we take time to welcome the Christ Child, the staff of the Children s Home rejoice and give thanks to you who have given so generously this year to support the children that call this wonderful place home. To show you thanks, we have enclosed a limited 2015 calendar bookmark showcasing one of our resident s artwork. May God bless and keep you this Christmas as you extend His love to others! In thanks for the greatest Gift ever given, Becky Dotson President & CEO We are also sharing some of our kids art. The Christmas scenes and snowflakes you see are actually copies of their work! The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. ~ Isaiah 11:6
