Weekly Meetings/Seminars and Retreats Wellness Ministry/CPR Class: The Union Chapel Wellness Ministry will give a CPR Class on Saturday, July 14, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. The payment for the class is $50.00. There is still time to sign up for this CPR Class. It is mandatory that all participants ages 13 and older sign up at the Welcome Center prior to the class. Each participant is asked to pay $50.00. No personal checks will be accepted. Cash payments only. Upon completion of the CPR class, all certified participants will be notified by the Wellness Ministry when the cards will be available for pick up. Payments are due the day of the CPR class. Music Ministry/Church Anniversary: As we prepare to embark upon our 85th Church Anniversary, the Union Chapel Music Ministry will present our annual Anniversary Concert on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. We are encouraging all members of our Unity Choir, Gospel Choir, Revised Version Choir, Women s Choir, Male Chorus, and Praise Ensemble(s) to participate. We are also inviting church members who are not part of our Music Ministry to sing with us as well. CDs will be provided to those who plan to participate. Church/Community-Wide Organ Donation Seminar!! A church/community-wide Organ Donation Seminar will be held at Union Chapel on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Speakers will include Dr. Beatrice Concepcion of Vanderbilt Hospital who will speak on the topic of Advanced Kidney Disease and Living Donation and Ms. LaToya Bishop of the Alabama Organ Center, Birmingham, Alabama. The seminar will run from 8:00 a.m. 10:30 a.m. and will be held in the Boone-Lacy Fellowship Hall. All are encouraged to attend and become more enlightened on the need for organ/tissue donation and how these selfless donations have a major impact on those in need. Youth Department Volunteers Needed: The Youth Ministry is currently seeking additional volunteers to serve in the Nursery and Children s Church for both worship services. Additionally, the Youth Ministry is seeking volunteers to serve during Youth Mid-Week Bible Study. If you would like to volunteer or need additional information, please contact Sis. Doris Taylor or Min. Marquis. Little Bags of Success: The Young Women's Ministry is preparing for our annual "Little Bags of Success" effort. Back-to-school time is approaching fast and many children will not be able to receive the supplies they need for the upcoming school year. This year we have reached out to teachers so that we can include the supplies they often need, but have limited supply of. Our mission is to equip as many children as possible with the tools they need to be successful. The Young Women s Ministry is asking the Union Chapel Family to help purchase supplies that can be used by students in grades Kindergarten through 5 th Grade and placing the supplies in a book bag. A list of suggested supplies are located at the Welcome Center. Bins are located in the Church foyer where you can drop off book bags. If you have additional questions, please contract Sis.
