SAINT ANN S GOT TALENT! - Announcing the 2015 theater/vocal camp "Berkshire Broadway Vocal Academy" to be held at St. Ann s in July. In its 4th season, St. Ann s Music Director Ron Ramsay, joined this year by Karen Cellini, will run this camp from 9 to 12:30, July 6-10th, in our Family Center. The final performance will once again be held at the Summer Festival, on Saturday July 11th. If you love to sing and act this will be a fun week for you! The camp is for children ages 8-15. She recently co-produced Doctor Zhivago on Broadway and Tony n Tina s Wedding internationally. She holds an MFA in Inter-Disciplinary Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College, was a Writing for Performance MFA candidate at California Institute of the Arts. She played Joan Collins daughter on the ABC television series Dynasty. Ms. Cellini studied voice with Julie Wilson, Margaret Whiting, Betty Buckley, and Meredith Monk, among others. Please plan ahead. SUMMER FESTIVAL CORNER Preparations are in full swing for our July 10, 11, & 12 Summer Festival. Please keep us in mind when cleaning out your attic or basement or garage, for our large tag sale and live auction events. DEADLINE TO DONATE IS JULY 5TH If you are a fan of the music from the 50 s or just love to dance, you ll enjoy our Friday Night Sock Hop from 6:30 to 8:30. Feel free to dress the part, prizes for best outfit will be awarded!! Local entertainer & singer Joey Palemo will keep us jumping! Throughout the day on Saturday, there will be lots of food and kids activities such as face painting, a bounce house, balloon animals, toys, games and more! We will be selling chances for our raffles all day long. We will hold our live auction from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Students in this year s St. Ann Vocal Camp will perform for you at 10:45. The fun continues on Saturday with a Show Off Your Dog Show at 10 a.m. We will have a free family friendly movie on our back lawn from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday evening the activities continue with a Family Mediterranean Dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $18 per adult, $8 for children 12 and under. Tickets are now on sale. On Saturday evening there will be a Beer and Wine Garden, from 5 to 10 p.m. Adults can sample an assortment of draft brews and wines from local vendors. You will need to show an ID at the entrance to the garden. On Sunday morning, we will hold our annual pancake breakfast under the big tent, from 8 to 11 a.m. Blueberry Buckle will once again perform. Then at 11:15 Mass will also be held under a large tent on the back lawn. (There will be no 9:45 Mass on this Sunday.) We have a free Ice Cream Social planned on Sunday, from 12:30 to 1:30, with ice cream from Scoop! You won t want to miss that, especially if it s a hot July day. Our raffle drawings will be held beginning at 12:30 on Sunday. You don t have to be present to win. As we ve mentioned, this year we will have our popular theme basket raffle. If you would like to donate a theme basket this year, just pick a theme, fill a basket with items related to that theme and drop it off at the rectory. Please look over the sign up form and choose an area where you can help us make this amazing annual fund raiser for St. Ann and St. Vincent de Paul the best one yet.
