The Life of Grace Grade Seven A chapter by chapter listing Revised Edition texts that will be impacted by the new translation of The Roman Missal Faith and Life Series

Grade 7: The Life of Grace (Revised Edition references) The English translation of The Roman Missal has been updated. The new translation of the Roman Missal will be implemented in the Liturgy beginning on the first Sunday of Advent, 2011. Since the Faith and Life series contains some quotations from the Mass, each book will be slightly affected. The overall impact of the new translation on the series, however, is minimal. Quotations from the Mass will reflect the new translation in the forthcoming Third Edition of the Faith and Life series. Third Edition Student Text and Activity Books will be available by April 2011. Third Edition Teacher s Manuals for grades 2 and 5 will be available by May 2011. All other Third Edition Teacher s Manuals will be available for the 2012-2013 school year. Because the changes are minimal, teachers can use the Revised Edition Teacher s Manual with the Third Edition student textbooks and activity books. This document will aid teachers who use the Faith and Life Revised Edition. This document lists in chronological order, by chapter, all the texts within Faith and Life that are impacted by the new translation of the Roman Missal. Each chapter section lists the textual change of the new Roman Missal, the current text in the Faith and Life Revised Edition series, and the corresponding page references for each book affected. Please note that every change in the Student Text and Activity Book also appears in the Teacher s Manual in the inset image of those pages. When the change to the Teacher s Manual is only due to the inset of a changed Student Text or Activity Book page, the corresponding Teacher s Manual page is listed in italics within parentheses. Guideline to Abbreviations and Conventions p. = page; pp. = pages (pp. x) = Italicized Teacher s Manual page refers to a change in the Student Text or Activity Book page reproduced on that page of the Teacher s Manual. Lesson planning areas within the Teacher s Manual are referred to by their name: e.g. Reinforce, Conclude *Note: Line numbers refer to the 2009/2010 printings of the Faith and Life series. Some earlier printings of the Revised Edition series may differ by several lines.
