For he is gracious and a song of praise is fitting. He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. He puts the fallen on their feet again. His understanding is beyond measure. Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; for he grants peace within your borders and fills you with the finest of foods. *Opening Hymn # 376 (Blue) We Gather Together Unison Prayer of Confession Lord Jesus, in many and diverse ways You have called each of us to follow You, to reach out with helpful deeds as you did, and speak up about the fulfilling ways you alert us to pursue. Because we miss seeing some fulfilling options to be a blessing, we are here to renew our awareness of how we may be faithful to Your call. It is disheartening to realize we have been swept away from living for valuable purposes. Make us shine as lights to a darkened world. In Your name we ask this. Amen. Words of Assurance Psalm 34:17,18 When people pray for help, God listens and rescues them from their troubles. The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope. God s Way of Living Psalm 105:1,4,5 Give thanks to the Lord Call upon his name Seek the Lord and his strength continually. Let his deeds be known among the peoples. Tell those you meet what he has done for you. Ministry of Music Holy Lord, We Glorify Your Name Beethoven/Clatterbuck Church Life

We listen to Jesus, Revealer of God, our brother and teacher; who lived in prayer and in love. Listening to God's voice and doing God's will, he gave his life in love; but God raised him to life that is eternal; and so we follow him. We follow in the power of the Holy Spirit, God alive in us, for the sake of the healing of the world. We trust in the power of forgiveness, the reality of resurrection, the gift of the universal Church as the body of Christ, and the mystery of eternal life. Amen. Healing Service 14 Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. 16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. James 5:14-16 (NIV) Prayer Requests received today
