Order for the Worship Of f God March 5, 2006 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 am The Christian Year: Ninth Sunday after the Incarnation To all who are spiritually weary and seek rest; to all who mourn and long for comfort; to all who struggle and desire victory; to all who sin and need a Savior; to all who are strangers and want fellowship; to all who hunger and thirst after righteousness; and to all who will come, this church opens wide her doors and offers welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Please turn off all communication devices. Thank you. Welcome Mr. Doug Horn 8:00 Mr. Tim Wilson 9:30/11:00 Preparation for Worship Call to Worship The Rev. Joseph Ryan The LORD reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! The LORD is great in Zion; He is exalted over all the peoples. Let them praise Your great and awesome name! Holy is He!

* Psalm 96 "O Sing a New Song" LYONS * Prayer of Adoration * The Apostles' Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. - 2 -

Psalm 66 9:30/11:00 "Lift Up Your Hearts" Roc O'Connor Public Confession of Sin: Psalm 51.1-12 Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to Your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You may be justified in Your words and blameless in Your judgment. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, You delight in truth in the inward being, and You teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that You have broken rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence, and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Private Confession - 4 -

Psalm 121 "I To the Hills Will Lift My Eyes" ST. COLUMBA I to the hills will lift my eyes from whence shall come my aid? My safety cometh from the LORD Who heav'n and earth has made. Thy foot He'll not let slide, nor will He slumber that thee keeps. Lo, He that keepeth Is-ra-el, He slumbers not nor sleeps. The LORD thee keeps; the LORD thy shade on thy right hand doth stay; The moon by night thee shall not smite, nor yet the sun by day. The LORD shall keep thee from all ill; He shall preserve thy soul; The LORD as thou shalt go and come forever keeps thee whole. Prayer of Intercession/Offertory Prayer The Rev. Tim Tinsley 8:00 Dr. Pete Deison 9:30 The Rev. Patrick Lafferty 11:00 Please sign and pass the Service of Friendship pad located on the left end of each row. Musical Offering "Grace" Mark Hayes Jenni Rasberry, Soprano * The Scripture Reading Luke 6.27-38 Mr. Kit Case 9:30/11:00 "But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you. 29 To one who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also, and from one who takes away your cloak do not withhold your tunic either. 30 Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back. 31 And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them. 32 "If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. 35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. 36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. 37 "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; 38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you." The Great Thanksgiving Mr. Tinsley The Lord be with you. And with your spirit. Lift up your hearts! We lift them up to the Lord! Let us give thanks unto our Lord God. It is right to give Him thanks and praise. It is right and good and a joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks unto You, O Lord, Holy Father, Almighty, Everlasting God. Therefore, with angels and archangels, and with all the company of heaven, we laud and magnify Your glorious Name; evermore praising You, and singing: Please stand. * Prayer of Thanksgiving Please be seated. The Words of Institution The Communion Please hold the bread and cup, and we will all partake together. - 6 -

During the Serving of Communion During the bread, please sing "Psalm 32" Brian Piper text: T. Dudley-Smith During the cup Please use the following scripture for private meditation: Ephesians 1.3-10 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, with which He has blessed us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of His will, according to His purpose, which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth. You may dispose of your cup at the doorways as you leave. - 7 -
