As you know, the winter holiday season is joyous for many people yet some find the loss of loved ones and friends, or feelings of abandonment, most acutely during such times. Rev. Dr. Barbara Sims-King, a licensed professional counselor, will facilitate the seminar. Our hope is to bring together people from the community for support and comfort. No registration is required. Worship in Pink Komen Atlanta s Worship in Pink program invites Atlanta s faith-based organizations to come together to spread the lifesaving message of breast cancer early detection. Worship in Pink is designed to open the lines of communication about breast health, promote breast cancer education and celebrate the lives of those who have fought against breast cancer. Participating in Worship in Pink is simple. Each congregation is encouraged to use Worship in Pink Weekend to celebrate breast cancer survivors and co- survivors in their community. We are called by God to give generously and faithfully out of gratitude for all that Jesus Christ has done and is doing in our daily lives. Starting in late October and concluding on Pledge Sunday, November 15, we will hear and respond to a variety of church members who are going to share their personal stories of faithful stewardship. Plan now to

be present to hear their words of hope, and to celebrate the movement of the Holy Spirit in all of our lives. Now is Prime Time to Sign Up to Help with the 8th Annual 2015 Christmas Tree and Wreath Sale You can sign up right now on the church bulletin board in the main hallway and reserve your favorite time slot to serve on the Christmas Tree Lot! First Christian Church of Decatur has offered to the wider community a vibrant and thriving Christmas Tree and Wreath Sale. With each successive year our congregation sold more Grade A Fraser Fir trees and handmade wreaths than the year before. In the past couple seasons we sold out within 11 days!
