WORLD MEETING ON FAMILIES NATIONAL COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND: It will be a great honour and privilege for Ireland to host this national and international event on Family life taking place in Dublin next August, especially now as our Holy Father is expected to attend. However, it will require an enormous amount of planning and funding. In this regard the third national collection is being held in all our churches after Communion this weekend. Bishop Ray is encouraging us to give as generously as we can afford. Many Thanks WORLD MEETING ON FAMILIES REGISTERATION: is now open online for the World Meeting of Families Congress, Individuals and groups can now book their tickets. Online Registration: https://www.worldmeeting2018.ie/en/tickets/tickets-registration Once it has been confirmed that Pope Francis is attending, the venue can be confirmed and tickets for the Closing Mass will be allocated to the dioceses. Ticketing will be managed via the Diocesan Delegate and parishes. More details later. NEW READERS ROTA: Revised rota is available in the porch for readers LENTEN TRÓCAIRE BOXES Lent began on Wednesday last as we celebrated Ash Wednesday. One practical way in which the Irish Church reaches out to the poor of the world is through our Trócaire contributions. Trócaire is the overseas Development Agency of the Catholic Church in Ireland. Trócaire Boxes are available for collection at the back in both of our churches. Please take one for each household and return back to the church during Holy Week. Many Thanks. LENTEN PROGRAMME ON FAMILY LIFE: is currently taking place at Listowel Parish Meeting Room (beside the church) each Tuesday night from 7.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.. It will be facilitated by Fr. Sean O. Sheehy. It is free and open to all within our Pastoral Area. LISTOWEL PASTORAL AREA LENTEN TALK: The Diocese has invited Martina Lehane Sheehan to speak in St. John s Theatre, The Square on Wednesday March 7 th @ 8pm. Her topic is: Living in each other s shadow Living, Forgiving and Healing Relationships. Martina is an accredited psychotherapist and spiritual director, regularly facilitates retreats and workshops on matters of spirituality and personal development. More details later. PRO LIFE MEDICAL INFORMATIOON NIGHT: We thank you for the warm welcome you gave to our Pro Life speaker that we had in Duagh & Lyre last weekend. We bring to your attention the up-coming medical information night in the Rose Hotel, Tralee on this Sunday night at 6pm. and the March for Life in Dublin on March 10 th GROW COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH MOVEMENT IN IRELAND.
