I pray all are well and enjoying this great weather!!! I know, I know I m on this ice Oooooh ICE! Well, today s first two readings are not exactly the feel, good, warm and fuzzy readings we hope for Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed. - And I tell you, brothers and sisters, the time is running out. These being the case, the question needs to be asked, how are we doing on time? And finally, just how much time do we think we have? I have written this and preached this so often before but so much of our time passes by and we cannot even account for it. As an example, tell me four things you did seven weeks ago on Sunday? I ll giver you a hand in this task, you went to Mass but then what? The only way you can securely tell me, is if something monumental or life changing happened on that day. Now that we have that stated we cannot change a thing about the past, but what about the future? Our Gospel is about the call of the disciples. They left what they knew, what was their security and blindly followed Jesus. Have we done this yet? We are not called to change our lives, nor abandon our family, but we are to take the life we are living and offer it to God on a daily basis with praise and thanksgiving for all that we have. Without God we would have nothing. We would not even exist! I pray our journey has at least brought us to understand this reality! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! I love you all!! Have a great week! Love, Father Mike 2018 Envelopes If you were unable to pick 2018 up your 2018 Envelopes please stop by the office Monday Friday, 9am to 12noon / 1pm to 4pm to pick them up.
